I ask this question from a Jewish perspective, and from the perspective of someone who is a little bit pedantic when it comes to language. Christians don’t use the word ‘Christian’ in the same way that Jews, Muslims and Hindus do. Technically a person born of Christian parents, christened as a child, married in a church, and buried in a Christian cemetery, is a Christian. When National and International News is happening to you, it is very important to life and well-being. When it is not happening to you, how important is it? I could read news all day about The Middle-East and be fascinated. I'd take sides, get outraged, and wonder about the future. But the Middle-East is also very far away, populated by individuals that I will never meet. Unless I am close to the Middle-East, or am someone who wields power or influence, I can do nothing about what I learn. I
