For all our disagreements about politics and culture, most of us are wrestling with the same questions: What gives life meaning? How do we build strong communities? What does it mean to live a good life? Whether your answers come from religion, philosophy, or personal experience, this is a place to discuss faith, purpose, and the ideas that help us make sense of the world.

Just dipping my toes in a bit, but how many other Orthodox readers are out there? While a convert myself, I've been in nearly a decade now and am well settled (I like to joke I converted 'before it was cool'). Would be curious as to where others are, and in which sorts of parishes people have found homes.
If you are likewise a convert, for how long, and what drew you in? Or are you cradle? Is your parish seeing the flood of inquirers so many are seeing? How is your parish handling it?

Hi folks- hitting the Forum with a question that's been on my mind for a while: where have the purple churches gone? I grew up in a few different Mainline Protestant churches, and found that politics was pretty much always kept outside the pulpit. The opinions of the congregants, my parents noted, were always pretty varied.
A brief faith history, for context: I was baptized Mainline Presbyterian (PCUSA), then grew up mostly in the Episcopal Church before my family began attending another PCUSA
