I am blessed with two healthy, clever, and marvelous children who are 6 and 8. They are doing well in school and have picked up reading, writing, and math with ease. I don't have a family business to hand over to them or a rolodex of connections who will put in a good word for them to get past gatekeepers as they enter adult life.
