One has to believe, after listening to the entire podcast, that maybe, just maybe, because of the "left-wing" (your description) protestors protesting EVERY Saturday for 9 MONTHS, that Hamas knew Isreal was preoccupied and their impeccable guard was compromised.
All I've heard is how horrible Bibi's positions are and how he is pushing for policies the left wing do not agree with. No perspective about the impact to Israel that 9 months of weekly protesting and the harm it caused which abruptly ended on October 7th.
Now the US has left wing rampart antisemitism on college campus and world opinion As an outsider looking in, it doesn't seem to be a far reach that both of these protests caused and will continue to cause deep harm.
