Why is that?--exactly? Other than, of course, the fact that, for so many commenting here, _anytime_ , but certainly "the sooner, the better", is always the "time to pass the torch" when that means, in effect, not electing Donald J. Trump, Sr, why is it "time" _now_? I gather that you'd have preferred that the "torch was passed to a new generation" back in 2016.
how anybody can vote for a democrat is honestly beyond my understanding. They're slavers and racists and race baiters and hate people for wanting love and marriage and integrity.
I'm neutral on this BUT I would Not bet more than 15 cents he's not the nominee. He REALLY has to stay away from the Name Calling. Its not 2015/2016. What worked then won't work now.
3. Yes they still love him. (as do I...for the most part). The question is Will they Support//Work for him, next fall/winter, when the race gets going?
That's the new narrative to downplay the fact that Trump dominated the rest of the field in the straw poll.
Whether it is true or not, I can assure you that had Trump failed to dominate the straw poll, no one currently talking about how many people were in the hall would be talking about that. They would be gloating and dancing for joy and saying how it represented sanity in the GOP and continuing to praise Haley and DeSantis or whichever non-Trump candidate performed well in the straw poll.
Yip thatтАЩs the problem whatтАЩs the truth? Olivia may have written about the 15 empty rows and all the hushed voices she spoke to especially the young ones but after the last 6 years of lies which are never going to end before the 2024 election why would we trust OliviaтАЩs article on CPAC.
If nothing else, Trump needs to be convinced that his age alone is disqualifying. If he were to be elected, he would be two years older at the beginning of his second term than was President Reagan at the end of his. Age related deterioration happens very quickly. Isn't Biden at 80 enough of an example of the dangers of a gerontocracy? The torch must be passed. The spectacle of a denture sucking Pelosi or a turnip-like Feinstein, while comical, is too dangerous to be allowed to continue.
There is old and there is Old. The Orange Man welcomes cognitive testing and sometimes recites the lists of objects in those tests from three years back just for entertainment. Plugs Biden, though, was always a dimbulb, a poor student near the bottom of his class, and two brain aneurysm surgeries - which without fail entail some degree of stroke - haven't helped. (cf Hulk Fetterman) Combine a stunned brain with dishonesty and you get what we see - someone unable to earn a living except at the public trough and unable to keep his tall tales straight. A low-IQ career politician who is a legendary plagiarizer and hasn't the morals to resist selling his office to enrich himself and his family.
Me? I'll do what I did in 2016: take the chance because the alternative is unthinkable.
gotta wonder why trump was impeached over Ukraine.
Just gotta wonder.
The President is required by law - a whole bunch of the 18u.s. 200 series is written directly to the point - to investigate allegations of public corruption. So what he was doing with the 'phone call' was not only legal but it was, according to the law, a mandatory action.
And yet he was impeached for it. The reaction to him looking at bribery and money laundering in Ukraine was instantaneous and venomous. Almost like they had something to hide going on in Ukraine.
And voila! They got him out of office, the first prez in 40 years to avoid warfare, and brought in the exact guy that was being investigated for corrupt activities in Ukraine. And they got their war in Ukraine in less than a year. Yes. Voila!
there were no political favors asked or received in those discussions.
keep changing the subject because you know there isn't anything to that impeachment but a bunch of dishonorable Democrats who may possibly be those vindictive sociopaths you like to talk about.
I provided some law to support my position about Ukraine corruption. Step up your game because you can't even stay on topic but have to flounder around looking for something.... anything.... something....... to hold on to
Age is not mentally deteriorating for most. As a caregiver of a 98.7 year old, I can tell you Harry is brighter, more educated and definitely more interesting than almost everyone on twitter. Those like Biden need to be in a care institution. Biden is mentally unstable. Trump still has his mental capacities, but he is not well received by many.
And I doubt you're saying a 98 year old should be president. Moreover, age does create some mental deterioration as one goes along. For most, not debilitating but if you think a person is the same at 70 as at 50, think again.
I resent that remark. Why, I'm the same at 69 as I was at ............. now, where was I?
I did some EE classes at 40. Man, if you think calculus is tough at 20 ... whew! And I had all the prerequisites for Fields I and II, but I NEVER got the hang of that stuff, even though Maxwell was a Scot and my personal hero. I'm hell on three-phase power, though ... guess you gotta be good at something....
With Biden, age didn't connote wisdom, just senility. Trump is hardly a sociopath or "bat shit crazy." Although he does have narcissistic tendencies - a trait common to many, if not most, politicians. Take a deep breath one in awhile. It might help.
I fondly remember when Trump assembled his Cabinet around him at a long table, I think it was in his first year, and in front of television cameras and stunned reporters he required every person there to stand up and gush as to how good it was to work for Trump, how good a job he was doing, praise his policies - blah, blah, blah...
I don't think SNL could have done a better job in portraying a pompous gas bag in such deep thrall of himself he wanted confirmation from the poor sycophants around him..
I don't like Trump either but Obama and the ever senile Joe aren't much better. Like Trump Obama was an egocentric jerk also. Remember that Benghazi murderous attack was caused by an "anti-Muslim cartoon".
We do not elect the best or the brightest to high office.
Well......and? He's a goofball and should not be re-elected. But talking about Cabinets - did you miss that carnival freak show that the Senile Imbecile has cobbled together? A few malevolent midgets at Justice and DHS. A ditzy Granny with a funny accent running Treasury. A breast feeding man running Transportation. Leftist lunatics at the agencies. And, of course, the Admiral in a dress.
Well, true enough. This is not the best Cabinet in history.
But at least Granny, the midgets, the Leftists (who breed in agency back rooms and closets) and the other (cross dressing) miscreants aren't on their hands and knees in total infantile obedience to the lizard king with the aviators on..
At least not publicly..
Trump has the amazing quality of making otherwise sane people act like slobbering subservient automatons, metaphorically bowing down in mock respect as Trump speaks on a subject he knows nothing of.
Yeah it did, at times, look like a reprise of The Apprentice, with the requisite slavering sycophancy. Some of my best, most successful and most cherished young associates were the ones with the brains and guts to tell me I was full of shit and my strategy was ill-conceived. They became colleagues, friends and trusted successors.
That's because you, Bruce, (am I going out on a limb here?) have the capacity that Trump lacks - the ability to absorb constructive criticism and course correction, use it and run with it. Giving credit where credit is due. And in so doing you learn but more than that, the confidence you instill in the people working with you is absolutely enormous. And I know you know..
Right. Remember, though, that the American Psychiatric Association's admonition that it is unethical to render a diagnosis without examining the patient in person has never stopped any of the Left's nickel psychiatrists from doing exactly that.
ЁЯШВЁЯШВЁЯШВ my concern for this person is ( and I know it will tell me it has nothing to do with me) is if there is no Trump whatтАЩs this human going to do with the rest of its life?
Sugar levels good thanks RT but perhaps for you another joint might give you a better perspective on President 45, chase the joint with a Bloody Mary with your own homegrown tomatoтАЩs. You have the beautiful greenhouse massive green lawns, Enjoy life looks good for you!

She's the third or fourth best GOP candidate of the election season and far better, immensely better, than any Democrat that has ever lived.
"immensely better, than any Democrat that has ever lived. "
Setting The Bar Pretty Low There Pal. :-)
true enough.
how anybody can vote for a democrat is honestly beyond my understanding. They're slavers and racists and race baiters and hate people for wanting love and marriage and integrity.
"But the Republicans..." See above from our own forum leftists. Democrats are excellent at pointing the finger at anyone but themselves.
However, isnтАЩt she a WEF young global leader graduate?
Yes, Haley is Deep State.
I'm neutral on this BUT I would Not bet more than 15 cents he's not the nominee. He REALLY has to stay away from the Name Calling. Its not 2015/2016. What worked then won't work now.
It still, works for his die hard base. Did you see CPAC? They LOVE hum still.
PS
He really did change The Party (some good, some IMO bad).
As I posted earlier it is not 2015-2016 anymore.
1. it is still Really Early in the race.
2. As understand it the CPAC hall was half empty.
3. Yes they still love him. (as do I...for the most part). The question is Will they Support//Work for him, next fall/winter, when the race gets going?

That is the big question
Was the hall half empty?
I don't know. Could be A Lot of A Lister's didn't show up?

Why donтАЩt you try the Montreal Cognitive Assessment Test? Trump scored 100%. Your ageism is offensive to highly intelligent тАЬelderly.тАЭ
"Denture sucking" Thank you. I am still laughing. Wonderful!

"take the chance with a sociopath and wannabe Caesar." That's called a "conclusory allegation." Logical fallacy. Look it up.

Careful, you're repeating yourself. A bad sign.
"With age comes wisdoms."
Your wisdoms have platitudes.
"Sell while you can; you are not for all markets."
Sometimes wisdom comes with age. Some get old and wise; some just get old.
********
"sick wannabe Caesar" - conclusory allegation. Logical fallacy. Look it up.
If the guy was vindictive why didn't he use the power of the state to punish his political enemies?
He fired some flagrantly bad employees in his own branch but what else did he do?
there were a lot more than 11 people indicted in that administration but none of them for something that trump did.
What else? What vindictive sociopathic behavior have you got?
Own up to your language or are you a liar spreading nothing but hate?
vindictive sociopathic behavior is more likely to describe a group of people who impeach a man after he's already left office.
So ya got nothing
I seem to have acquired only one wisdom. Still waiting for my other wisdoms.
With Biden, age didn't connote wisdom, just senility. Trump is hardly a sociopath or "bat shit crazy." Although he does have narcissistic tendencies - a trait common to many, if not most, politicians. Take a deep breath one in awhile. It might help.

He wants to be adored..

Thanks, Lee. I do see your point. I think Trump had many very good policies. But leadership requires more.
No, Trump is definitely a sociopath
He's a vicious asshole but I don't think he is a sociopath.
Right. Remember, though, that the American Psychiatric Association's admonition that it is unethical to render a diagnosis without examining the patient in person has never stopped any of the Left's nickel psychiatrists from doing exactly that.
Bruce, why are you answering this clown he is one trick pony. He has only one thought in his head and it is:
"TRUMP!!! TRUMP!!! TRUMP!!!
Is the sky blue today? "TRUMP!!! TRUMP!!! TRUMP!!!
Is today Wednesday? "TRUMP!!! TRUMP!!! TRUMP!!!
Are you an idiot? "TRUMP!!! TRUMP!!! TRUMP!!!

Did you read my many posts saying Trump should not run? He's too old and too divisive. But your claims are as nutty as you charge him with being.
