I fully disagree with notion that young Americans support Hamas due to TicTok. Tickok is just as symptom not the disease. Real problem are twofold. First majority of young people grew up in time of endless wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, where our governments wasted trillions of $$$ while things at home were not doing well, thus they dont see reason for our involment in the region as necessary.

Second Israel has been winning ground war but has been losing Media war for decades now, thanks to misguided polices of settlements in west bank that provide constant stream of videos where settlers are clashing with Palestinians

I think you give majority of young people too much credit for knowing anything about history, Iraq, Afghanistan.

They have been brainwashed in college by professors who hate America and the West. They support anything that furthers their decline.

Exactly. Young people's understanding of history is limited to what they're told by teachers and professors, the majority of which hate America.

We've raised two generations of people now who don't have any critical thinking ability and just take whatever they hear from "trusted sources" as the truth unquestioningly. And a lot of that happens via TikTok now sadly.

We've raised, Joe T. The burden of our failing young critical thinkers falls on us, the generations that brought them into this world. We failed at keeping their minds safe during the digital rise. We were not prepared or maybe even aware of the misinformation age of social media and developing minds.

But China knew.

And here we are.
