Joe Biden never stops talking about his son dying from ‘burn pits’ because his son was once in the same country as the alleged ‘burn pits’.
And now Joe Biden wants Americans to move back into a neighborhood with the world’s largest ever burn pit. Because of science. You can’t make this shit up.

This reminds me of when Democrats exploited a child with a speech impediment at the 2020 DNC to garner sympathy votes while Democrats nationally implemented masking policy that would create an epidemic of speech impediments.
I never tire of watching that corrupt, despicable imbecile falling UP the stairs. There have been presidents I have disliked over my lifetime but never one I have so despised and reviled. I cannot fathom what my fellow Americans were thinking when they voted for Biden - who was at least twice before laughably rejected by the public and was regarded as a corrupt and relatively stupid senator of little accomplishment. As I noted to a friend who announced before the election "If I had the choice to vote for Trump or a pile of shit on that table, I'd vote for the pile of shit" - Well you got your wish.
I don’t know how much suffering you are willing to endure to prove your friend wrong but I’m voting for Biden in 2024.
Even if you make DeSantis emperor, at this point, he can’t fix this. So it’s better to have a Democrat holding the steering wheel as Democrat policy bankrupts us.
I’m not joking. You look at what happened after Obamacare and voters are capable of getting it. But you first have to let Democrats rule……..so that they can fail.
Kevin I agree wholeheartedly. The Dem's, media, progressives have zero handle on the debt ceiling issue. The inflation caused by Biden (Oil prices spikes and the federal Money Orgy Acts that Joe, Nancy & Chuck signed) required the Fed to raise rates. We now have 31 trillion-dollar ARM adjustable-rate mortgage. The US Federal Government budget is just like an overbuilt subdivision outside of Vegas in 2008. Let them play how long can I stay in the house after foreclosure.
You're expressing a rational concept, that Democrats would be rightly blamed for their failures. If 2022 proved anything its that Democrats don't care at all about the price of bread if the ability to kill the unborn is on the ballot.
Truth is I just don't know. The $31 trillion debt number is frightening. Will there be a sovereign debt default? Can we reverse this madness? Is America still a serious nation and is the rot too deep? I don't know. But I'd rather try to fix it than try to pick up the pieces after it all blows up.
I have to admit that the Biden pile on has been entertaining with all the usual suspects here involved. But in response to your debt number - it is frightening. I agree. But to put things in perspective, before the Covid shitshow our federal debt as a % of GDP was very close to the EU's. They have extremely high debt as well. Two wrongs don't make a right, but with the dollar still the reserve currency of the world economy and with investors still hankering for our Treasuries (debt limit increase lurking..), we're still the adult in the room (though that's not saying too much). Will things blow up with derivatives leading the way? Perhaps, but it won't be only us. The entire financial system (including China) will go down.
What I worry most about is when they are no longer interested in our treasuries. I believe we are fast approaching that number. I believe the interest payments are approaching the level of our defense spending. Pretty soon regular budget items will need to be cut. It will be interesting to see what they do,
I wouldn't minimize it, Lee. Regardless of how many idiotic regimes and central banks have debt of that magnitude, it's very concerning. And, because the consequences are not immediate or affect the lives of citizens - yet - we all run around like happy idiots, piling on more debt for our progeny. The height of stupidity and irresponsibility. Ed Dowd, who has been right about a lot of financial calls in the past, said in an interview with Carlson, that it's just a matter of time before the sovereign debt defaults. Now that will be a major shit show that will affect the lives of everyday people.
If the fear is a sovereign default, then how do we reassure investors without raising interest rates? That's when we get to that age old question - how do we lower our debt? Do we tax more? Or do we cut the budget? And if we cut the federal budget - what gets put on the chopping block? It's easy to say we have to fix our listing ship, but there is no consensus as to what direction to take. Do we do a bit of both - raise taxes and seriously cut programs? (Or we can go the Liz Truss route and lower taxes while spending more - we can see how well that worked..) But of course, that would take a grand bargain between incompetent politicians we know are not capable of achieving.
Let's put it this way, it ain't happening in our lifetimes..
Yeah, that's what scares me, too. The debt service at 5% or more starts to crowd out other spending and then the house of cards collapses. As the idiotic media shriek about not defaulting so we need to raise the debt limit. People cannot seriously be this stupid.
I haven’t seen it. He’s generally an idiot. If it is a recent piece where he writes for The Dispatch, which is communist propaganda, then I’m not interested.
Old, 2013…..when he was at NR. It’s a good read , but the ultra Cliffs notes version is when thing collapse they must revert to the natural order of things, which is conservative.
Strange point of view. Anyway, DeSantis has my vote. He did a great job with the aftermath of Hurricane Ian. I feel confident he would have handled the East Palestine situation well.

I'd almost feel sorry for him for elder abuse if he wasn't such a terrible person.
They weren't voting for Biden. They were voting against Trump.
I don’t know if that’s fair! Shit can sometimes be used as fertilizer and has some use

Things need to get so bad even the corporate DNC presstitutes can't ignore it.
That level of bad is impossible to imagine.
You're expressing a rational concept, that Democrats would be rightly blamed for their failures. If 2022 proved anything its that Democrats don't care at all about the price of bread if the ability to kill the unborn is on the ballot.
It doesn’t matter who you vote for. Powers greater than you or I will determine the outcome.
I take your point, Kevin but this is our country you're talking about.
Right. So net net what is the best approach? I think it’s better if Democrats are in charge when the collapse happens.
If you think we can avoid collapse that’s a different discussion. I don’t think it can be avoided.

I can't help but jump in, Bruce.

And the workaround of printing more money just dilutes the savings of those who have some.
The $32,000,000,000,000 debt coupled with high interest.
Thank you for adding commas. My eyes are getting too old to parse $32000000000000
😆
Mine too. But it really needs to be seen with all the zeroes to fully appreciate it.

Oh yes they can. And are.
This is a fair point. It is a tough call. Rock bottom is a real thing and that’s what I think we need.
I'm kinda a fan of Kevin Williamson's The End Is Near and It's Going to Be Awesome....you?
I haven’t seen it. He’s generally an idiot. If it is a recent piece where he writes for The Dispatch, which is communist propaganda, then I’m not interested.
Some of his older stuff is okay.

He is very well situated as a governor.
