Bari’s question about how it could be possible that Democrats are labeled “soft on crime” presumes that that’s not true, and Adams’s answer just regurgitates her point that crime most hurts the poor and suggests that Democrats are tough on crime because they support gun bans. It’s ridiculous.

It’s exclusively Democrat prosecutors that are setting felons free to wreak havoc instead of jailing them. It was exclusively Democrats who called for defunding police across the nation and who demonized cops as racists, leading to mass retirements and rampant crime waves. It is exclusively Democrats who moved right past the Nashville shooter’s trans manifesto and hatred of Christians and instead portrayed the trans people as the victims. It was a Democrat president who invited grandstanding disruptive Tennessee lawmakers to the White House instead of the families of the victims in that shooting. It is exclusively Democrat big-city mayors who are allowing drug addicts to roam free on their streets, injecting themselves and attacking innocent passers-by without consequences.

Democrats are labeled “soft on crime” because they are soft on crime, not because conservatives have “hijacked the language” and faked everyone out.

There is no reason outside dishonest partisanship to assert that Democrats care about the poor more than Republicans do.

Republicans have always been the party that actually does better for the poor.

I like the Mayor's response. All too often, one needs to 'Get in Line' with all liberal views to be able to mix and mingle with those elite Dems. Life is far more nuanced. I really like Adam's views and comment on education, for instance.
