I find it interesting that this article about New York has only 9 comments at the time I am writing this while other articles have hundreds. And this was published on April 25.

I wonder if this is because people all over the world who read publications like this have finally stopped giving a fuck about New York, New Yorkers and their insidious Yankee bullshit. How much oxygen does this single city really need? New York has given us Donald Trump AND Alexandria Ocasio Cortez. Maybe the lack of interest in this shithole city and its loser mayor is a sign of some small hope for the rest of the nation. We can only hope.

Fuck New York.

Long live Cedar Rapids!

Like it or not, New York City is the engine that keeps America humming along. More people live in New York City than in 38 other states. It's only the lopsided Senate that keeps NYC from having a fair share of power in the country.

If New York disappeared tomorrow, the country would be in a deep recession within a matter of weeks whereas Nebraska, Alabama, North Dakota and some others could disappear tomorrow and no one would even notice.

New York sucks. The only thing that sucks more than New York is New Yorkers. I suspect that if New York disappeared, things would be remarkably improved. Hopefully Washington D.C. would fall into the same black hole. But should the central states disappear, people would go hungry...

I'm a FP subscriber, and I don't remember this article. I love the FP, but this "interview" was a total waste of time. That's probably why no one is commenting.
