Holding my breath waiting for TPF to publish “The Fall of Hunter and Joe, Inc.” based on the daily revelations of the massive influence peddling and outright extortion committed by the current President of the United States, his son, his brothers, and other members of the family, aided by the FBI and the DOJ. Bari, show us you are a real journalist and committed to the real truth and publish real news that only half of the country is hearing.
Hey thanks for this, Jim...I got tired of saying it.
Spoler alert: Bari has already proved that she most definitely is not "a real journalist." Were it so, she would have been covering the Biden Crime Family Bribery Scandal months ago. She takes her orders from headquarters, like every other mainstream "journalist." But she plays the role of the independent.
We’ll be lucky to get a story from Bari about the Biden’s misdeeds. Maybe the week after the DOJ tidies up the big mess by reducing everything down to misdemeanors allowing Joe and his depraved son to avoid punishment and keep up appearances at fundraisers and galas put on by ass kissing toadies. They’ll even get to keep the ill-gotten loot. They, like Meghan and Harry, are the toppest of top notch grifters. Bari can claim the “not enough evidence to go ahead with the story” and how in the end it was a “high tech right wing witch hunt to take down a decent man and loving father” nonsense the craven lefty media pukes up to shield their beloved democracy saver. Trump really has short circuited the thinking process for many who write and report for a living.
I wouldn't hold your breath too long lest you pass out. I don't expect to see that here anytime soon. While this site in called The "Free" Press, it is already turning into the "New York Times lite".
They all (Taibbi, Shellenberger, Fang, et al) criticized Musk after he cut off Twitter links to Substack. She has said very little, if anything, in support of that group’s work since her initial report last Fall. And I believe the reason is that the subject became to radioactive for her.
Even if thefp investigates, it take weeks just to get all the facts and clear the contents with the lawyers. You don’t go after a sitting president half cocked. There is enough stories on hunter from fox news
Can’t we break into their what’s app messages or force their lawyers to forgo their client confidentiality agreements or even better do we not have recorded tapes or any AÍ impersonations of the Biden family? It’s been done plenty times before. Mind you it will be difficult to decipher Brandon’s crap.
This is the single biggest test of journalistic integrity The Free Press has faced yet.
You cannot ignore a story of this magnitude. We've never before had a president so nakedly corrupt, with half the country determined to protect him at all costs purely for The Party.
Where is the "Never Biden" movement among Dems? Where are the Democrats with integrity?
They're not scared of Trump, he's literally the only thing they have to run on. At this point they've betrayed everything the Democratic party used to be, and their entire strategy is to motivate their voting base with fear and hatred of Trump. He's their biggest ally.
What about what about? You brought up Trump in this thread, Anthony, I didn't. I only responded to what you and Skinny wrote about him.
As for my other comments on this thread, I use Whatabouts when the writer insists a Republican was treated worse than a Democrat in the same circumstances. For instance, "Crackhead Hunter Biden got off with a wrist slap because of Drooling Diaper Joe! So corrupt!" That prompted me to bring up Roger Stone, the deep-Trump Republican who evaded ten times the taxes Hunter Biden did, yet received a DOJ deal far more lenient. Hunter had to plead guilty to criminal charges and pay the taxes and penalties. Stone only had to pay the taxes and penalties, no pleading guilty to a crime.
"Whataboutism" is perfectly appropriate when the commenter insists the other tribe gets the gold mine while his or hers gets the shaft.
I'm still right on Trump's unhinged rants. He's playing right into the Democratic election handbook by going all-caps nuclear when they needle him. Every eruption costs him votes in the general. Fine by me because I want him gone--I'm not shy about my feelings about Trump--but it's a stupid strategy for a guy who claims he wants to win next fall.
Since you're Never Biden, which Democrat would you accept as President? Or is there any Democrat that would make your list? If you can't think of a single one, then you're not Never Biden, you're Never Not Republican, a critical difference.
I always love listening to Harold Ford Jr. He's an old school Dem. I could accept Tulsi Gabbard or RFK, although he's very hard to listen to. (Perhaps he has a physical disorder, I don't mean to be offensive. But I literally can't stand the sound of his voice...and I'm very interested in what he has to say)
Perhaps the realization that Harry & his wife are grifters will allow folks to focus on the two grifters that actually impact the average American’s life...Biden & Trump. At this point I’ll vote for anyone who isn’t either of them! Scott...DeSantis...Newsom...Mayor Adams for God’s sake!
Please! Not Newsom! He is Biden with charm and a knack for smooth deception. He has destroyed California and my friends who still live there are in despair. I would vote for Kennedy, IF he abandoned the Party. If he, by a miracle, won, the Party would get to him, too.
California has had some of the toughest gun laws in the nation for well over thirty years, but implementation is lax and inconsistent at best. As a teacher, I have seen one student be expelled for bringing a potato gun to school well after hours and another be suspended for three days for firing a real gun out of a school bus window just as it was pulling out of the parking lot. My husband had to fill out a four-page affidavit to pick up an 1875 wall-hanger, but one of my students that same year came up with a gun within hours when threatened by members of a rival gang (he killed an innocent bystander that evening). One of my former students told me he could still get a gun with one phone call - no problem (this was one of the few who had managed to escape gang life).
If we don't teach our children empathy and compassion, tolerance and anger management, personal responsibility and ethics, all the gun laws in the world will not put an end to this type of violence. But where's the political clout in that?
Your dedication deserves applause. I presume you're a teacher in California? Maybe we need stricter implementation of the laws. Regardless, not every state has tough gun laws but they should. Studies concluding that states with strict gun laws have less gun violence have been done; however, I'm sure that detractors would find their findings flawed and biased. Is it wrong to assume that you may be teaching in an urban area? If so, could it be that your worldview is biased? i.e., that stricter gun laws don't necessarily save lives.
I am now retired. Moved to North Carolina soon after retirement. Taught for 30 years in three California districts. The socio-economic situations varied across the board. Kids are kids. They learn what they are taught. Right now, we are teaching them very little in regard to the sanctity of human life, self-respect, empathy and personal responsibility. Don't look to any California politician to save the world. They have all done one hell of a job building a road to disaster.
My "Never Biden" remark was in reference to Democrats making a stand against corruption the way the Never Trumpers did. It's not relevant to me as a Republican. You fundamentally missed my point.
Also, if RFK wins the D nomination I will vote for him, because restoring truth and integrity to the government is my number one concern, especially in the wake of the COVID atrocities.
Thanks for this, Anthony, and I'm sorry I missed your point. With national politics being as grift-ridden as they are, I'm afraid we'd have to go "Never Nobody" to make any dent in the problem of finding good leadership.
Shane, I will never vote Democrat. I don't care who they run for President. The party has move too far to the left for me.
They have active communists in the party. One chairs the Senate Budget Committee. They support the woke movement. They support gender identity classes in K through 3 grades. A kindergartener has no idea what they are talking about. They support schools helping kids get abortions and encouraging kids on gender matters without telling the parents. They support the teaching of CRT in schools. They support open borders.
I could go on and on about why I will never vote for them.
I am not fond of the Republicans. Both parties are heavily populated with idiots but I think the Reps have more than their fair share. However, I will vote for the Reps because I think they are less toxic and hateful than the Dems.
Just look at how the west coast states are spiraling into anarchy. People can't leave these states fast enough.
Look at the cities with the highest murder rates. They are all run by Dems and have been for decades. Look at how the states and cities that were burnt and looted by the communist thugs ANTIFA and BLM. The worst destruction was in Dem led states and cities. Hell in Seattle these thugs took over downtown Seattle and the Dem mayor nor the Dem governor did nothing to stop these communist anarchists.
I have a dear friend who would vote for Charley Manson if he had a D behind his name. I don't understand that kind of blind loyalty for any party.
I know you won't touch a Democrat, Lonesome, and I respect your reasons for not doing so. You are equally hard on Trump and some of his MAGA cultists (meaning not all MAGAs are cultists), so you come by it honestly.
Since I wouldn't vote for Trump if he had a D behind his name, I would hope I consider the candidate, not the party, when I vote.
Government since 1776 has always been this way. But by saying that doesn't mean I like it.
To paraphrase Harry Truman, "Anyone who makes money off of their office is a crook."
He also said, "Once a government is committed to the principle of silencing the voice of opposition, it has only one way to go, and that is down the path of increasingly repressive measures, until it becomes a source of terror to all its citizens and creates a country where everyone lives in fear."
I believe the above quote is what the Democrats are doing via the PC/Woke tyranny. Free speech means just that free speech and the PC/Woke movement, supported by the Dems, is trying, sucessfully, to destroy free speech.
What do you like the sound of? Anyone is better than Donald J. Trump. The regrettable fact is that we don't have any good choices. I'm thinking Kennedy may be the way to go.
Hi! Theresa, You ask interesting question to which I reply would Biden get yours?!
Please note that I am not a US citizen so I cannot vote in your country - I assume you are American? (although it appears that there are plenty of non citizens who are being registered to vote so maybe I should drop by and cast my ballot!)
Anyway to give you my hypothetical answer Yes! I feel that either candidate you mention is preferable to your current president. BUT I would also like to add that back in 2016 I would not have voted for Trump or Hillary.(again a hypothetical answer)
However, in 2020 I would have voted for Trump based on his policies, to give a few examples, school choice, moving the US embassy to Jerusalem, some of his prison reforms and foreign policy etc.
Also you have to take into account the fact that my hypothetical choice is based on what is best for me and the region I live in, where US foreign policy plays a strategic role - not everything about choosing a leader is about what happens at home. The US has a diverse population and many voters I am sure, think about foreign policy implications when they vote.
In my defense, for I feel that your question is a loaded one and there is a need to defend my position (I could be wrong and you could be wearing a MAGA cap as I type this!) I consider my self to be non-binary as a voter and would register as independent. I am a paid subscriber to Tulsi Gabbard on the LOCALS platform She was until recently a Democrat. Things are rarely black and white but complicated shades of grey on that I am sure we can agree!
I love America. I have lived there several times totaling more than 12 years in all, in the 1980s 1990s and 2000’s. Both my kids went to university there.
I can only wish America the best and hope that the current divisions that are tearing the country apart can be healed, for as Lincoln said “a house divided cannot stand”.
Thank you for your thoughtful response. To be clear, you'll never see me in a MAGA hat and it's upsetting enough seeing vehicles with "Let's Go Brandon" stickers. Yes, Joe Biden has many flaws. He surely is not a stellar candidate. May I also add that I'm glad you are unable to cast a vote in the 2024 election? It's nothing personal; you seem like a nice, educated person. But imho, there is no one worse than Donald J. Trump. He's mentally unstable. For anyone who thought that those of us, terribly disappointed that "Trump won", were overreacting in November, 2016, just look at the damage he's done. MAGA = lunacy. Just my 2 cents.
Thanks for taking the time and effort to reply to me. I felt your reply was emotional rather than factual. I’d love hear for example your views on free school choice for parents. Trump was for making it easier for parents to decide where to send their kids to school. While the Obamas worked to block this - which I found a tad hypocritical since they were sending their girls to the finest private schools in the DC area that money could buy.
I try not to do amorphous criticism rather base my comments on inconsistencies I see between what people say and what they do.
Michelle Obama has talked about white racism yet she bought a house in Martha’s Vineyard a predominantly white neighbourhood.
I understand your abhorrence of Trump but feel it’s is based on superficialities rather than substance. Wishing you the best as you make your choice in the next election but the pickings are thin on the Democratic side right now.
Yes it would be nice to see it reported that nine members of the Biden family are receiving money from China. It would be nice to have someone point out that on the infamous laptop are pictures of Hunter naked with a naked young girl.
Don't worry. In her Friday column Nellie will snarkily comment on it (for the purpose of getting a laugh and a couple pats on the back for even mentioning it), and then it will be forgotten.
I love TFP (and Nellie too) but their blind eye to all this has been extremely disappointing.
Sadly, the blind eye is getting blinder. Especially Nellie's. She tends to use snark to make a brief nod to the truth, and then she runs back to her safe space.
How do you know that "nine members of the Bidebn family are receiving money from China" if it was not reported? Ditto the "naked young girl" report. Where did you learn this information if not from some reporter somewhere, and how did you know to trust the reports were true?
Also, Trump's children seem awash in similar grifting, so where's the outrage among MAGA for that?
How do we know Biden received money from China? We won't until a thorough investigation is complete...unlikely with the DOJ roadblocking work by the FBI. You should have watched the whistleblower live with Brett Baier last evening.
And unlike the Bidens, the Trumps had real jobs in the private sector.
Additionally, there is nothing to suggest they sold access to DJT when he was in office. Furthermore, Robert Mueller spent 2+ years and $40M investigating the Trumps and found zip on them.
This would be the same "roadblocking DOJ" that negotiated a plea deal for tax evasion from Hunter Biden, in which he had to admit to a crime in exchange for no prison? The same DOJ that went so light on Trump pal Roger Stone for tax evasion ten times as large as Biden's, yet only had to pay the back taxes and fine, DOJ required no plea to criminal charges?
Public sector employment is just as real, and legitimate, as private sector. Some are lumberjacks, some are senators, some are writers, some are cops, it's all good. One is not more lofty and moral than the other.
In the specific you mention, "real jobs in the private sector" are easy when you work for Billionaire Dad, who gave the kids and their hubbies/boyfriends cushy no-work jobs on the campaign as a bonus.
Russiagate and the Pee Tapes were based on a whistleblower, too, and we see how real those turned out to be. Sorry, but watching a whistleblower on Bret Baier OR Rachel Maddow does not make me swoon with conviction. Give me court documents that are filed under risk of perjury, then we can talk. All else is politics.
I almost don't know where to begin responding to your comments.....
1) Yes, public sector jobs are real and legitimate as private sector (did I say they are not?), but don't try to tell us that you can become a multi, multi millionaire working for the government, pal. (Unless you're engaged in illegal activity somewhere, like Nancy Pelosi.)
2) Maybe the DOJ went light on Roger Stone because they had a weak case. Few care because it was Trump who they were after. Spend 3 years & $40M investigating ANYONE and you're likely to find a crime somewhere. Congratulations, but still nothing from Mueller on Trump.
3) Just because most people aren't born to wealthy billionaires, like the Trumps & Kennedys, is your politics of envy going to hold that forever against the children? Sleep easy on that one, buddy.
Lastly) Watching a whistleblower alone, anywhere means nothing until you consider what substance, if any, they provide.
If you retire at 65 with $100,000 pension guaranteed for life with inflation adjustments and with survivorship benefits for your spouse, then you have a multi-million (not multi-multi) dollar asset. Many govt employees get this AND they did not pay tax on the accumulation of this benefit.
1. "Did I say they are not?" Yes, you did, by implying that Trump was better because he worked in the private sector. The sector you work in doesn't mean squat.
2. The vast majority of public sector workers do not become billionaires, or even millionaires. Who rakes in the dough? Only those in the highest profile public jobs: elected national office. They get campaign funding, speaking tours, book tours, consultancies, vacations on billionaires' airplanes, and other money-drenched opportunities because the private sector is seeking favors from them. The hoi polloi in both sectors buy and sell each other like two-for-one Tuesdays at the Golden Corral. And it's all legal. Which is another problem, the legal bribery of politicians by the private sector.
3. "Spend 3 years & $40M investigating ANYONE and you're likely to find a crime somewhere." GOP spent more time and money then that giving Hillary a political rectal exam and didn't find a crime. Ditto the exam given Trump on Russiagate and the Pee Tapes. Most political "investigations" are expensive, virtue-signaling shams, whether conducted by GOP or DEM.
4. Weak case against Roger Stone? My reading says they had him and his wife solidly to rights. But the DOJ routinely goes lightly on politicians of both parties, not just on The Biden Family (tm).
5. What politics of envy? I have plenty of dough, they should envy me. My point is that you're jonesing for more investigation of the Biden kids, so it's perfectly legitimate of me to pump for more investigation of the Trump kids--multibillion-dollar deals by Jared Kushner while his FIL was president, anyone? You want to drop all investigations into all the presidential kids? Fine by me. But do it for everyone, not selectively.
1) Saying and implying are not the same thing dimwit.
2) Who said the vast majority become billionaires? Not me dimwit.
3) If you think Hillary is innocent of committing the same crime Trump is charged with I have ocean front land in North Dakota you can buy. She's simply better at crime by destroying the evidence, and she gets advice from the best, her pretend husband.
4) I don't give two digs about Roger Stone. This discussion is about the Bidens and the 2-tier system of justice. If you don't believe that, don't let the crackhead son off with a wrist slap.
5) Pump the Trump kids all you want....maybe you'll find something Mueller didn't. Good luck with that. Get back to us on that........never.
Finally, if you're too stupid to think this is all about Hunter (I'm sure he would have been hired by Burisma based on his intellect, skill, and energy experience if his name was not Biden) and not his connection to his senile, old, corrupt father, than (and it's spelled THAN) you're as stupid and pig-headed as every other dimwitted liberal I have ever had the displeasure of crossing paths with.
Hi Shane, I’m afraid I can’t cover all the outrage I have over politicians in one comment. I don’t speak for MAGA or anyone but myself. But you do raise important points because I don’t believe anything unless I feel like it’s viable research or I see it myself. There’s so much nonsense and untruth out there so you’re right to ask that. I saw the picture along with his crack pictures. It’s easy to find on verifiable sites. I give a boulder of salt to a lot of stuff but that one I can’t forget. The nine members of Biden’s family were identified by the House oversight committee. It’s been documented on msn.com, cnn, etc. Here is one article but an easy google search will show you more: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/other/nine-biden-family-members-who-allegedly-got-foreign-money-identified-by-house-gop/ar-AA1b0bXX
As for me, I am no fan of either political party at this point.
"I’m afraid I can’t cover all the outrage I have over politicians in one comment."
Hi, Amy. I feel your pain, as I feel the same way--politics, which always had grifters and criminals but they were far more contained, has devolved into a capital city full of :"Fuck you, where's mine???" I'm not defending the Biden family--if they're guilty, off to the hoosegow they should go--but I have to reserve judgement until I can read the details in court charging documents. Until then, it's hard to know what to believe and disbelieve, there is so much spin and propaganda going on from all parts of the political spectrum.
I mention Trump's kids because this board is so heavily anto-Biden that we need to remember that grifting is the family business for Republicans as well as Democrats.
We deserve far better leadership, but won't get it until we start rewarding competence, not showmanship, in office. Thanks for writing, I agree with you across the board.
There was a microscope up every member of Trump’s family and organizations for nearly a decade. His accountant is in jail because he didn’t claim college tuition the company paid for his kids. If there was anything remotely akin to this you would have seen it by now. And if those ever appear I’ll condemn them just as hard.
But please, stop trying to “whatabout” factual, evidence based charges against your imagination. You’re not fooling anyone.
Any "whataboutism" I might employ pales in comparison to the Everest of whataboutism erupting from Trumpland over his factual, evidence-based federal indictment for espionage and insurrection: "What about Hillary?????????"
And the deal offered to Hunter Biden, to plead guilty to tax evasion in exchange for no prison time? That brought so many MAGA tears I thought I would drown in the flood. Yet, Trump consigliere Roger Stone and his wife were offered pleas for evading ten times the amount of taxes, and they didn't even have to admit to a crime, just pay the bill.
Love your comic strip, man.
You will be waiting forever. They are "protected class" like Hillary and most of the Obama administration.
Don’t hold your breath!
Not going to happen. Bari lost her edge. The backing away from the Twitter Files was the clincher for me. I have unsubscribed.
She didn't back away though. Elon snubbed her after she made a milquetoast criticism against him.
They all (Taibbi, Shellenberger, Fang, et al) criticized Musk after he cut off Twitter links to Substack. She has said very little, if anything, in support of that group’s work since her initial report last Fall. And I believe the reason is that the subject became to radioactive for her.
Mine ends tomorrow.
Mine in October I’m off TFP, I’ll miss you Alice K wish you luck!
Same here. Something changed.
Excellent.

"Democrats with integrity" What a concept.
They shit scared of President Trump, that’s what Democrats integrity looks like
They're not scared of Trump, he's literally the only thing they have to run on. At this point they've betrayed everything the Democratic party used to be, and their entire strategy is to motivate their voting base with fear and hatred of Trump. He's their biggest ally.
And Trump plays right into it with his screeching WITCH HUNTZ, so who's dumber, Dems or him?
But what about Trump!! What about what about what about???
Please go back through your comments on this thread and think about how you're behaving exactly the way you accuse corrupt Republicans of behaving.
What about what about? You brought up Trump in this thread, Anthony, I didn't. I only responded to what you and Skinny wrote about him.

I have always wondered this. I thought the guy was a grifting idiot in the 80s.
He was. He’s always been a stooge, a gaffe machine, but he’s left of center so protected.
He was.. He is the same no talent guy now he was in the Senate except now he is senile.

It's a political move.

Maybe someone can explain it to me.
Please...you're MAGA.
Me? Not hardly. Red makes my ass look fat.
My bad. Wrong person.
No worries, I kinda assumed. Red caps are too tiny for my bucket head 😎
You need to love yourself more, Shane.
Never Biden - I like the sound of that.
What do you like the sound of? Anyone is better than Donald J. Trump. The regrettable fact is that we don't have any good choices. I'm thinking Kennedy may be the way to go.
Would Trump get your vote? DeSantis?
#NeverTrump
Why conflate one stupidity with the other?
I thought that's what "Let's go Branden" was?
No, that's a Republican chant, not a Democrat movement.
You’re right! And I have the t-shirt too! But Never Biden …. I kinda like it! Time for another t-shirt maybe
Buy, Buy Biden...... because you can buy him and we want him to go by by
Yes it would be nice to see it reported that nine members of the Biden family are receiving money from China.
Don’t love Nellie and I don’t believe she will mention it in TGIF.
234 you’re my human😄😄
I think Nancy Pelosi is worth much more than this, partner. So is Barak Obama.
And the Clintons.
Thank you Amy so well posted.
Agreed, grifting is what unifies both parties, haha. It’s a Republican and Democrat problem for sure.
You're not fooling anyone, either.
Deflect, deflect, deflect.
Yeah, sure, whatever.
