I came straight to the comments because, well, WHAT KIND OF BANANAHEAD EVER ROOTED FOR THESE TWO PARASITIC CLOWNS???

A good portion of us did root for Meghan when she married Haz. It was exciting to see an American of mixed race marry into the BRF. It was so rare. It was as if the monarchy was stepping into the new century. But Madame Markle turned out to be, umm, less than desirable in her new role. Americans, with a the exception of very few, were disgusted by her entitlement. King Charles III, then Prince of Wales, did everything to make her feel welcome, including walking her down the aisle when her own father could/would not.

Exactly. This article is a few years too late. To any person who looked at them without adoration simply because she is biracial, it was always all too obvious. The woman never was or is natural. Any second she is recorded or photographed she is acting. Acting in a soap opera about royal family drama and money. Any article published about them now can hardly be considered a revelation. FP could find more serious topics.

This stinks because I really liked her on that lawyer tv show she quit to get married. She must really be a good actress lol.

Honestly, thatтАЩs where I start with most articles from The FP! The commentators are usually more knowledgeable and more entertaining!

Unfortunately, even smart questioning types fell for them based on the Oprah interview. I actually lost a Journalist friend bc.I told her that I thought Meghan was a phony, whining abt. her mental health problems and not having enough $$$$.

My friend responded with a long email to me, asking how I could be so unfeeling especially since I had worked as a therapist and some other personal family issues I wonтАЩt go into.

Meghan is a professional actress. She can cry on a dime.

The Oprah interview is where I lost any remaining respect I had for them. We had an interview where Meghan, who is literal royalty, told billionaire Oprah how "oppressed" she was and that we're supposed to feel sorry for her.

Harry is just as entitled and deserves her.

Glad you stood up to this BS. If you lost the friend consider yourself lucky!

Narcissists can cry on a dime even better than actresses.

I was hoping that if COVID taught us one thing it would be who's indispensable and who isn't. Fake royalty, actors....go away!

One thing Harry certainly did is made EMDR therapy very popular.

True. And a good one. A decent person. I think The Couple touched a nerve in people who feel they have experienced injustice ( not just racial)

There are people who never experienced it in their lives? Everyone has experienced injustice. The problem is young people are seeking safe places where they can never encounter a person who thinks differently or may simply look sideways on them. Everything is unjustice to them.

Somewhere along the line we stopped teaching that life is not fair and what that actually means.

That is accurate for the world of Millennials as I have witnessed with my kids. However I donтАЩt think it is fair to say abt. Boomers. We came of age where there was much more Tolerance for differences in people you could have as friends.
