I was watching CBS Sunday Morning yesterday, their woke bias had been getting on my nerves for a while now, but I really liked their feel-good stories. Yesterday, however, they just went too far. I wrote to them and told them that this was the CBS version of "there are very fine people on both sides" and noted that, to my knowledgem "the very fine people" at Charlottesville did not commit mass murder and behead babies. I ended my email thanking them for showing us who they were. And we believe them.

I stopped watching Sunday Morning years ago. Just by the subjects they cover and the people they either feature or interview, their bias is obvious. Good for you in writing to them!

Well, one of those “very fine people” in Charlottesville did drive his car through a crowd of counter-demonstrators murdering one, injuring others. Not the “same” as HAMAS ? No. But you get the drift.

He didn't deny there were bad people there. "And you had people — and I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists — because they should be condemned totally. But you had many people in that group other than neo-Nazis and white nationalists."

He panicked because his car was being attacked as he tried to drive away. Yes, I realize he was convicted but I think he was railroaded. Involuntary manslaughter at worst.

Thank you for the link. Great piece. The press continues to be horrific when it comes to anything Trump or conservative.

I did something similar to PBS NewsHour in 2020. Broke my heart to realize I didn't trust PBS anymore. I haven't watched it since.

I challenge you to watch an unedited version of Trump's remarks about the Charlottesville protest. It might be hard to find, but you can find it if you try. As soon as he said very fine people, he continued to denounce the white supremacists that were present at the protest. Literally 2 seconds afterward, he denounced them. Yet every news station in America edited the clip and pretended like he was celebrating white supremacy with his fine people comment. If you do that, it will open your eyes to what the press have been doing to Americans for the past 8 years.

2020 was the year for me, as well, with the coverage of the mostly peaceful protests. And I remember being shocked to realize that Trump had been misquoted in your example. Then I started wondering where else his words had been twisted - not that he didn't say plenty of actual crazy/repugnant things, but the media made him look worse than he was.

"Very fine people" was itself a lie and a hoax. Everything about Charlottesville was manufactured by the left for use against Trump.

Watch for Biden to use some variation of “the very fine people” line when talking about those supporting Hamas. They don’t want to lose power and must appease these groups.

Charlottesville was a dress rehearsal for J6. Democrat politicians had police stand down (J6 added FBI informants to foment chaos). In both events, the authorities wanted violence and chaos so it would reflect badly on Trump and his voters.

That is exactly correct. And it went swimmingly. They're still using it.

And it took the malinformation about an Israeli strike on a hospital for way too many folks to say "Huh?" Personally I am furious that they now have the nerve to proclaim that they see clearly now. They didn't then, they don't now.

I agree, they will go back to their steady diet of MSM lies and self-congratulation, and fall right in line for the 2024 election.

That is my belief as well.

And you unthinkingly perpetuate one of their "big lies" because Trump was not speaking of the marching small band of anti-Semitic nitwits. He was clearly addressing the people on both sides of the dispute of retention of Confederate monuments. Big difference. Big lie.

I understood that Trump was trying to talk to the people. But the the Mainstream Media portrayed it as "proof" that he was an anti-(fill in the blank). And that every time he made a joke, the Mainstream would call it "proof" of Russia collusion. And that all the pictures they showed of Epstein was with Trump (it not every time, it sure seemed that way).

So true. Do you remember during his debate with Hillary when he quipped that maybe we should ask the Russians about her 30K e-mails. Everyone who knows sarcastic NY humor got that remark. But what did the nitwits in the media do? Shrieked it was proof of Trump's ties to Russia and use it as a pretext for four years of lies about collusion.

You did a good thing with that letter. Stark hypocrisy needs calling out wherever it is observed. Well done!
