State Department officials were determined not to let Havana Syndrome undermine the new détente. Nor did Pentagon higher-ups want problems. There was widespread agreement that the opening to Cuba was overdue and that politics had stopped it from happening sooner.“
And they whine about nothing being done under Trump? Well maybe if they had followed his instructions and rolled back the “detente” then they wouldn’t have been subjected to this. Christ, we are surrounded by elitist dunces of the worst kind. Let them eat cake.
John Eastman, Donald Trump's lawyer of Jan 6 fame, could also be termed an elitist, considering his education. I don't see anything lefty about him, though. Do you?
Way to pick those nits. Did Eastman work for the state department? Does anyone not left work for the state department? Because this was about the state department.
No, actually. My comment to you concerned the word elitist. The word can describe people ascribing to all manners of political persuasion. It does not belong to only the Left, as much as Tucker Carlson wants it to be. Conservative Republicans can come from very prestigious schools, ie 'elitist.' So saying that only lefties work in the State Dep't is analogous to saying only conservatives work in Idaho gov't bureaucracy. Both assertions cannot be proven.

I was with you all the way, until the word 'elitist.' I think it's safe to say that dunces can come from both ends of the intellectual spectrum.
Ah, I see you assume I was talking only about the left. Well good guess since they infest the bureaucracy and think they should be independent.
