This is a problem with the political left. It is not a generalized political problem, it is not a byproduct of a polarized society, it is a problem with radicalism and violence by democrats and their ecosystem of media supporters and donors. It is the result of the DNC mainstreaming extreme progressive oppressor/oppressed ideologies which justify violence against anyone who is not in complete agreement with them.

3 attempts on Trump in 2 years, Charlie Kirk's killing, Hassan Piker supporting Luigi Mangione's killing of the UHC CEO, the pro-palesetine looney who torched Gov. Shapiro's home, the DC killing of two Israeli embassy workers that the DSA endorsed and refused to condemn, the killing of the elderly holocaust survivor at the Colorado parade, violent university demonstrations celebrating the Hamas October 7th killings, the BLM riots in citiies throughout America, the list goes on and on and every time this is broughht up all the dems can do is say...b-but January 6th..... All of these attacks fueled by the ideology embraced by the DNC and their MSM and social media supporters. Think of AOC showing up to support the Columbia University rioters just before they kidnapped workers and days before the DC shooting, think of Mamdani's wife's vile disgusting comments on October 7th, think of the press whitewashing the recent attack on the Michigan Jewish daycare, It's all the left. Mind you, the political right have not been angels and their rhetoric often requires condemnations and they certainly have their fringe violent actors, but ---As I heard someone say after the WHCD attack, the harsh words may fly in both political directions but the bullets only seem to fly from the left to the right.

Unless and until we have our politicians and press including the folks at TFP here acknowledge that this violence problem is a problem with the left there is no chance that we will ever address it. And judging by this article I have very little hope it will be dealt with frankly or effectively.
