He/she/it does not swim for Penn State, the PA state university. He/she/it swims for the University of Pennsylvania, which is an Ivy League founded by Ben Franklin. Ben Franklin is ATM turning in his grave.

Long ago, when this nonsense was only a dim cloud on the distant horizon, my late father, a country Presbyterian pastor, who eschewed "cussing", not as a moral evil as such, but because doing it often made it ineffective when it was really needed, proposed that the appropriate gender neutral pronoun be s/h/it.

I do this thing for fun where I try to problematize everything, so your comment caused me to look up the Penn State mascot the ‘Nittany Lions’.

………..aaaaaaand ‘nittany’ is a Native American (Algonquin) term meaning ‘single mountain’ that Penn State has apparently appropriated. Pitchforks coming within 18 months.
