The land of the Tragically Hip gives us the tragically insane. Barbaric, unspeakable and Brave New World or Soylent Green brought to life.
On the other hand, it could be a beacon of hope and a solution if only the demented and destructive PM of our northern neighbor could be persuaded to enroll in this demonic program.

Of course if Canada's government-run medical and social programs were any good, most of these people would have received proper treatment. But they aren't and they didn't - reinforcing the cries or our own critics of socialize medicine who warn that this "final solution" is the logical end result of rationed care.
Our free market health care system isn't much better, though. I have amazing insurance AND never have to wait for appointments even with specialists--2-3 days at most and my total out of pocket, including premiums, is $1,200 a year. Those without insurance pay inflated prices and/or are financially ruined, or just go years without proper medical care.
There's got to be some middle ground system of health care that still provides decent care but isn't fully run by the government or where doctors who do the work make $300K while the president of the insurance company makes $12 million.
I do not disagree one bit. I'd love to cut out those con men and have the doctors provide care through a doctor-run HMO. The insurance model is a scam that provides rationed care on a model that's based on denying claims and making doctors and patients fight for reimbursement.
Some people can’t be helped. Canada’s medical system is ironically like Trump - inaccurately maligned, though of course not viciously and maliciously, as is the case with Trump.
I found the comment from the doc about the failures of the health "care" system combined with the cost-saving statements chilling. Looks like those death committees people lamented in the run-up of the ACA are not so far-fetched after all. But I did learn to screen docs based on their view of the Hypocratic Oath.
I wonder if this isn't the end state of all social welfare regimes. Build up a big social welfare state, and then eventually you have to cut services in order to feed the corruption that came with the big social welfare state.
I think so. I am at the point where I do not believe in governmental fixes and that the reliance thereon has impeded progress. At least it has in the real-world.

Government regulation and mandates to doctors, hospitals and insurance companies ruined healthcare and drove costs up astronomically. Go figure.

You right it’s a total scam and a sham.
It's a shame that the people who advocate for depopulation programs never start with themselves, haha
🤣🤣🤣 no they rather depopulate us first
‘How beauteous mankind is! Oh brave new world, that has such people in’t’
As per usual Bruce your post is excellent

“Soylent Green is people!”
What was that Barbra Streisand song - People eating people? Or was it people needing people? Oh well, same thing in the end lol 😝

Sounds like it!

No kidding, Lynne
Lol! But seriously, god have mercy on us!
