Hamas wants to kill Jews, but a person would be naive to assume that a group that commits those unspeakable atrocities would stop there.

When I heard that 500 people had died in a hospital explosion, I immediately thought that Hamas would have no qualms about killing their own neighbors, if they thought it would promote their public relations image.

I'm sad that the editors at the Times are either naive or - well, I'll leave that one to you.

The reality is that far more Gaza's have died at the hands of Hamas than of the IDF. A third of the missiles fired at Israel (like the one that hit the hospital in Gaza last night) fall short, killing Gaza citizens. Any Gaza citizen who protests against Hamas is summarily killed. Hama, like their sponsors in Tehran worship death, not life.

Hamas has demonstrated time and time again that are eager for the death of Palestinians, because blaming the deaths on Israel boosts their PR. Don't forget that these people send their *children* to harass Israeli soldiers in hopes that the soldiers will harm or kill the child, thus creating the desired PR.

Considering that the poorly made rockets fired from Gaza at Israel have a history of malfunctioning and landing inside Gaza (although no one ever seems to complain about the deaths this causes), the rush to assume that this *must* have been an attack by Israel clearly shows the bias of the Media. I saw people on Twitter saying that the explosion was too large for Gaza-made rocket. Well, not if the hospital was storing Hamas's munitions. Which we know hospitals in Gaza do.

The “or, well...” leads to history of NYT of many fabricated stories. I recall seeing the film “Mr. Jones” and their Pulitzer reporter, Walter Duranty, hid Stalin’s Holodomor starving of Ukrainian farmers.

Don't forget Jayson Blair, Judith Miller, the Duke Lacrosse hoax, Tawana Brawley - there isn't a hoax they haven't embraced. Remember this one:

Jussie Smollett, Star of ‘Empire,’ Attacked in What Police Call a Possible Hate Crime

By Sopan Deb

Jan. 29, 2019

Jussie Smollett, one of the stars of the Fox television show “Empire,” was attacked in Chicago early Tuesday morning by two people who yelled racial and homophobic slurs and wrapped a rope around his neck, according to the police, who said they were investigating the incident as “a possible hate crime.”

Attacked? By two "people?" This rag is just laugh our loud funny.

The number of people sucked in by that story was sickening, when it was so obviously false.

Chicago is most certainly not "MAGA country" (as Smollet claims they yelled), and most conservatives (indeed, probably most Americans) had no idea who this guy was, let alone that he was gay. That they would lay in wait on a freezing cold night, hoping he would go to Subway at 2am, was patently ridiculous to anyone who lives in the Midwest.

The fact that 1) he somehow didn't lose hold of his sandwich, and 2) *kept* the noose around his neck were just the icing on the very, very fake cake.

Celia, that night wasn’t just freezing - it was brutally, dangerously, memorably cold.

When the news the next morning was about Smollet’s “attackers” laying in wait in near-white out conditions (cough), any Chicagoan w/functioning brain cells knew he was lying through his teeth.

Brutally, dangerously cold weather happens pretty often in the Midwest (I've lived here for 33 years). That's why Midwesterners know--from personal experience--that no one stays outdoors in those conditions a moment longer than they must, because hypothermia is a genuine danger.

The fact that Smollet WALKED to Subway for a sandwich in the middle of such a brutal night is suspicious on its own. Admittedly, the guy grew up in California, so he may have had no real idea of the fact that cold can be dangerous. But it makes sense that he'd want to stage his hoax at a time of night when few people would be around, and I'm sure that his burning desire to commit the hoax was more compelling in helping him face the bitter cold than a mere craving for a sandwich would be.

But let's never forget this doozie, posted by the Imbecile in Chief -

What happened today to @JussieSmollett must never be tolerated in this country. We must stand up and demand that we no longer give this hate safe harbor; that homophobia and racism have no place on our streets or in our hearts. We are with you, Jussie. https://t.co/o8ilPu68CM
