Calley's claim that Trump is going to weed out cronyism is a bit laughable. I'm not sure what definition of cronyism Calley is using here.

We're talking about a president who has a long record of replacing capable individuals who disagree with him (advisors advising) with yes men. His first term administration was full of lobbyists. Trump didn't drain the swamp, at best he replaced it with a bog. He even revoked his anti-lobbyist EO on the last day of presidency and just rolled back Biden's ethics EO.

To me it's simple: Trump places Trump first and that includes catering to MAHA to get the RFK vote. He doesn't actually care about these causes and his actions have shown that.

RFK making millions off vaccine lawsuits doesn't help garner any trust either. Perhaps you can go to the facts on that one. As you say, follow the money.

There are some good causes that these folks are promoting amidst some of their contradictory statements, but I'm pretty damn skeptical if this administration is going to make progress on anything given the R's anti-regulation sentiment and the agency gutting that's going on. Calley's free market bit seems pretty hand-wavy.

Calley likely has a free-reign consultancy agreement as an 'advisor' to RFK, and likely charges $750/hr or more. Every single time he spoke, he used Trump's or RFK's name, and/or 'right/left'. He was blatantly wrong (otherwise known as lying) on several topics and his hyperbole is only matched by trumps.
