-Truth: Pharma companies are required by regulation to conduct TWO Phase 3 clinical trials as part of their development plan in order to gain approval (drugs for rare diseases are usually exempted from this). Two studies are, de facto, replication. Might want to ask him where he got this fallacy. (I spent 37 yrs in pharma, working mostly in Regulatory Affairs from peon level to SVP level, MS-level scientist, and can say with certainty and based on my experience, FDA's expectations are enormously high and no favors were EVER given.)
- GSK and Merck are 'criminal enterprises'. Will simply say that this verges on slander, although I am not a lawyer.
Bari - suggest you fact check him AFTER that podcast. He is full of hyperbole, much like Trump and brings every topic back to politics. The other two have been working in this area for a long time, and they stay in their lane.
