Tavistock closed its gender clinic not because they recognized they were mistreating patients, but to evade liability and dodge lawsuits. They have merely shifted the problem to smaller clinics, where likely the same kind of abuse of children will take place.

This won't be over until those responsible for this abuse are held responsible -- the cowardly administrators, lawyers, and the few medical practitioners who prescribe this crap. They should be defrocked and, in some cases, serve prison time for criminal offenses against children. Perhaps then we will begin to see pushback on these odious practices by bureaucrats who are more fearful of prison time than of being called out by the lunatic transgender activist groups.

That's what I'm concerned about. There seems to be nothing that would prevent the activists from placing the same pressures on the smaller clinics, or prevent the staff who had been promoting these practices from going to work at those clinics. Unless there is to be oversight of ALL clinics offering care for gender issues, this is a Pyrrhic victory.

That's a good point about the smaller clinics, especially since (I'm guessing) a lot of them probably don't have any expertise in treating gender dysphoria. They will be easier targets for the activists, and harder to oversee.
