Enjoyed Rob Longs piece. Just curious where all the dEI( emphasis on the E) actors are supporting the writers and more importantly sharing their mega wealth. I have no idea what screen writers make but their work product( at least the good ones) is what makes movies great. I would also be interested to know if the writers fear that AI will make them dinosaurs

I'm curious to learn how much of Big Entertainment's emphasis on DEI is caused by writers, vs. producers, vs. investors, vs. A-list actors.
The latest rewriting of history is a black Cleopatra. Then there's the upcoming Little Mermaid, played by a black woman who doesn't look remotely Scandinavian.
Then there's the constant and irritating remarks about whites that permeate the scripts of many modern movies going back decades. A recent one ("The Invitation", a ridiculous flic about a group of vampires in an English manor) has the brown lead looking at a photo of one of the Englishmen and saying, with obvious distaste: "This is the whitest guy I've ever seen!" Flip it around; you would be blacklisted (no pun intended) if you were ever to put in your script "This is the blackest guy I've ever seen!" Tip of the iceberg.
In summary: I have zero sympathy for these yokels. Let them find real jobs someplace else. Write books, write poetry, maybe pitch some ideas to Daily Wire which has a non-woke movie division now.
