Some thoughts:
1) Whatever your POV happens to be, whether you think this is an occupation/non-occupation or something in between, the sheer barbarism of what took place should shock anyone.
2) Militant/radical Islam doesn't fear death. They WELCOME it. THAT is the difference. The true believers WANT to die for this cause. There is no reasoning with people who feel this way. Ben Shapiro was right. It's our narcissism in the West that makes us assume other people in the world think like us. The US, in particular, has made this mistake over and over again for decades.
3) In my view, you cannot negotiate with an entity that has as it's EXPLICIT purpose your destruction. You either kill them or they kill you. Maybe they can be pacified for a time but it's only a matter of time.
4) I am visiting the Flight 93 National Museum in Shanksville, PA today. A reminder of when terror was brought to OUR shores those many years ago.
May God bless all of you, the US, and the good people of this earth.
Some things are too simple for the intelligent to grasp, aren't they? (I once passed the shrine in question without realizing where I was... similar vibe to that which attended looking across the Gettysburg battlefield. Be well.)
In 1976, I was a senior at a prestigious New England prep school, hard by Narragansett Bay when we started receiving responses to our college applications.
One of my classmates - passed on, now - wrote a letter to the Harvard admissions office, thanking them for their kind and measured consideration of his application (which all of us boys were required to write to each school we applied to).
He did add to the standard thank you note, though, “I am a little confused, though - I sent in two identical applications with the only difference being my racial identification. The white applicant was rejected, but the black one got in - which application do you intend to honor?”
Great practical joke, right?
The very next day, my friend was whisked into the headmaster’s office, where the Harvard Dean of Admissions and two other Harvardpukes were fidgeting nervously!
My friend went to Georgetown and became a wonderful priest.

I have a true Harvard story to share:
In 1976, I was a senior at a prestigious New England prep school, hard by Narragansett Bay when we started receiving responses to our college applications.
One of my classmates - passed on, now - wrote a letter to the Harvard admissions office, thanking them for their kind and measured consideration of his application (which all of us boys were required to write to each school we applied to).

I love this story.
Ben Shapiro’s article you’re referencing was excellent and spot on. Harvard didn’t deserve to have you attend! Take care on your way to PA.
Can you share this please.
Thank you! Very sweet of you to say. Enjoy your day too
