I've long thought federal student loans should be eliminated for students not choosing STEM fields or business majors. Also it should no longer be guaranteed. Even when I was in school back in the 90s, my roommate and her friends who all had parents who paid their tuitions in full took out guaranteed student loans to invest in stocks. Talk about head start. I was scrambling to pay rent after graduation.
