On Columbia (and other university) protests - could federal funding of the universities who are continuing to enable antisemitic speech, gatherings and actions be suspended - including student loans and grants - until the universities prove they have reestablished a civil environment for intellectual discourse and learning? I can’t see how taxpayer funding through federal research grants, student grants (Pell) and subsidized student loans (that may eventually be forgiven) of this fomenting societal division is helpful or even legal. This situation is all Very disturbing to this American tax payer.
