This is something I know something about. A now-retired physician with a forty-year career behind me, I still spend an hour or so each morning reviewing medical articles. In early spring last year, I received a phone call from an acquaintance in another state. He, his wife, and his twenty-something daughter had the CCP virus and they were not doing well.
I asked him if they'd been tested; he said yes and all three were positive. "We are all getting sicker by the hour, and I have seen what happens if you have to go in hospital and end up on a ventilator. They won't even let your family sit with you as you die."
As luck would have it, I'd just seen a video of Dr. Pierre Kory, et al's testimony before Congress concerning the effectiveness of a protocol they had developed that included ivermectin. (Interestingly, YouTube almost immediately took that video down, but NOT BEFORE I HAD SEEN IT.)
Knowing that Jim was a pilot, I asked him if he owned a pulse oximeter. He did. I asked him to check oxygenation on all three. His was low 'nineties, his wife mid-'eighties, his daughter high 'nineties. His wife was very short of breath and sitting by the open window in a state of mild panic.
Since I still retained my medical license in his state, I called in prescriptions for ivermectin for the three of them, along with several other things. As they say, to make a long story short, the results were nothing short of remarkable. A phone call before bedtime revealed that all three were "some better." The next morning, "much better." Three days later, "cured," except the wife, who had a persistent cough. Interestingly, I visited Jim and his wife a few months ago, and she was emphatic: "That medicine you gave us saved my life." She may very well be right.
The essence of medicine is to allow physicians - who have training, experience, and hopefully judgment born of that experience - do what they DO. My little ad-hoc research experiment was admittedly miniscule, but it was enough for me to form an opinion. And always in the back of my mind are the hundreds of thousands who did NOT get this treatment because of politics. My advice to the politicians is to stick to what they know - whatever that is - and let others, like oh, say, doctors, do the same. And by the way, I am one of the signers of the Great Barrington Declaration.

She also prescribed ivermectin, vitamins, a z pack and albuterol for my husband whose oxygen was in the low 90s. All were better within 24 hours and fully recovered by day 2 or 3. The suppression of physicians to use this protocol is criminal
Thank you for your willingness to think independently and to say so. I think the tell on this entire covid debaucle was the rush to define and control the "science" from the outset by Collins, Fauci and their cabal. Logic dictated extensive observation and research of the origins, treatment and prevention of a novel virus, not the rush to impose experimental vaccines. Yes I have lost faith in the medical profession. But in all honesty that had begun for me when they turned the profession over to 3rd party, for-profit, managers of their business and tried to convince the public it was a good thing. It became health business, not health-care. And that is not how insurance works anyway. It is just a money-making scam by big pharma and their political hitmen.

It's not just the politicians, but the media in their thrall. We need doctors like you to work independently, but guided by the scientific method, to find the way.
I’m so angry when I think about the group think that gripped the medical profession, the people who died when they could have at least tried ivermectin, and the bad medical advice I got for my kids after they got Covid. The only thing I can do is try to reward doctors who were willing to think and do what made sense. How can I find out who was not buckling to the group think and reward them with my business? That’s the only thing I can think to do.
I have followed the virus voraciously for over 2 years now. I sent my son and daughter-in-law all the pertinent articles and videos I was seeing. I was pretty sure my son had gotten it in February of 2020 after a visit to NYC. They have not gotten the vaccines and will not have their two daughters vaccinated. My son found a practitioner who has a telehealth practice. We were all able to get Ivermectin. I have it stashed as a just in case and convinced a friend to get some too. I did get vaccinated with the Pfizer but will not get the boosters.
This fiasco has undermined any confidence I had in the CDC, the FDA and NIH.
The unrestricted entry of illegals from all over the globe is also bringing in rare, to the USA, diseases such as Chikungunya. It is a virus from a mosquito bite. Ivermectin works on West Nile, and Zika which are also mosquito borne diseases.
Sigh...and the fact that they stand at the podium and say Yes we know 18,000 PER DAY will come when we end T42 but we're cool with that. However small children in school and airline passengers must wear masks. Did you know they have installed robots at Love Field in Dallas to scan the crowds for mask compliance and will facial rec you for the "crime". When I read that I did a double take. Why on earth are they making current investments in mask compliance if Covid is over enough to end Title 42?
