Judea Pearl
Judea Pearl, 89, the Chancellor’s Professor of Computer Science and Statistics at at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), is known for his pioneering contributions to artificial intelligence, human reasoning, and the philosophy of science. He is the father of slain Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl and president of the Daniel Pearl Foundation, which he co-founded with his family in 2002. His latest book, Coexistence and Other Fighting Words, include essays on Jewish identity, the Arab-Israeli conflict, and the history of Zionism.
