So what Biden was trying to say in the Holt interview was that he was not calling for Trump to be shot with a rifle, but shot with a bow and arrow?

As a Ukrainian, one of the article mentioned that 44% of Ukrainians want a peace talk - that is false. Everyone knows, as with Chechnya back in 1990s, russia needs a break for sometime to rebuild their destroyed army. They need time to regroup, work on their mistake and in few years take all Ukraine and some other parts of Europe back.

We understand that war will end with a peace talk eventually; however, this is not the time yet.

This both sides-ism has got to stop. One side calls Trump and existential threat, the other puts their middle finger in the air.

Even the citation of Trumps use of the term "bloodbath" is disingenuous at best. The context of him using that term--was in what was going to happen to the car industry. It had nothing to do with Joe being a threat to the world nor remotely an incitement to violence.

Can you not see that?

8 years of relentless Pavlovian mind training to upchuck "orange man is a threat" and this article implying that "FJB" is equal incitement to violence is verging on a case study in cognitive dissonance at this point.

Forget all the politicking. I’m just so gosh darned proud of The Free Press (gotta buy a sweatshirt or socks one of these days). I have been a subscriber since Bari resigned from the New York Times, and it has been a thoughtful and delightful journey (thank you, Nellie, for TGIF, and I hope you have had your baby boy by now. As my husband said, when I was pregnant with my boy—like you, my first was a very independent girl—“little boys really, really love their mommies.” It’s the best, and I am so excited you’re reporting from the RNC. I expect the same from the DNC, though possibly with riot gear.

After January 6, I was a never Trumper. He really pissed me off. But as I’ve watched the Biden administration and their ineptness, I’m more concerned with them getting back in the office than Trump. The Democratic Party is moving in a way that I just completely disagree with what I think is best. Trump has my vote.

In the good news category, people who post that they wished Trump had been killed are getting fired from their jobs. Payback, as they say, is a b&tch.

Oh great, another eloquent Free Press contributor with his yarmulke screwed on too tight.

To think after we all see that continous name calling by the Dems/Left that Trump is a nazi, racist, threat to democracy, existential threat to America, etc etc and needs to be put in the "bullseye" and yet place most of the blame for our division at Trumps feet??

This is something I'd expect to see coming from some MSNBC broadcast.

Yes, the Dem's dog whistles about Trump go too far but they don't compare to Trump's out and out calls for violence.

Or have you forgotten "If she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks. "Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is. I don't know."

Here's a partial list: https://www.axios.com/2022/05/02/trump-call-violence-presidency

The difference is that none of Trump's supporters have actually tried to act on it, because they know it's just Trump being Trump. They take him seriously, not literally, as a TFP contributor famously said.

So, don't believe what he said, there is a hidden meaning that Trump supporters understand. I think that hidden meaning might have been misinterpreted by Trump supporters on January 6th.

J.D. Vance: Born in poverty, to a drug addicted mother he graduated high school & became a combat Marine. He then graduated from Ohio State followed by a law degree, magna cum, from Yale. One might consider that the great American dream come to fruition. What he lacks is political experience. However, the present occupant of the White House has decades of political savvy & is at best mediocre. So, whom would you prefer, Giggles or Vance?

As for the assassination attempt & the Secret Service, perhaps the following equation is at play. DEI-Meritocracy=Mediocracy!

Vance did not exactly call Trump "America's Hitler." He said he "went back and forth" between thinking that or the alternative, that Trump was a "cynical a**hole like Nixon who wouldn't be that bad." It wasn't a flattering statement in any light, but it was not an unconditional labeling of Trump as "America's Hitler."

I enjoyed this until the asymmetrical lean began when it was said, “When you denounce other groups as both unimportant and as threatening, that is the kind of dehumanization that's particularly likely to lead to political violence. And he does that over and over with particular groups, immigrants, women, and so on.”

The left has done just as much of this if not more and much earlier before Trump was even running president. This is not to say either side should engage in schoolyard name calling but to lay all this at the feet of Trump, you begin to join the cacophony of flame fanning which you so well described.

President Biden "lowers the temperature" by claiming that Trump is a threat to democracy.

Meanwhile, Jonathan Martin reports..."that Nancy Pelosi, convinced that Biden will lose, has been “working the phones” since the debate looking for a 'way to ease him off the ticket.' "

So former Speaker Pelosi endeavors to undermine a primary candidate duly elected by the people so that a few Elites(?) can choose a candidate because they know best. Now, who is a threat to democracy? Democrat gaslighters that's who.

The Free Press clearly favors Trump/Vance for far-right Israel’s sake. Who cares what the implications for blacks, women, LGBTQ%+, Ukraine, NATO, and the Free World are, as long as Trump/Vance have far-right Israel’s back.

I think the implications for blacks, women, and LGBT might be the same as they were last time Trump was president, that being a robust economy with high employment and low inflation, affordable home prices and interest rates, tax policy that helps entrepreneurs, as well as national and border security which helps ALL Americans regardless of identity labels. Maybe these groups are catching on to the Democratic con and refuse to be played anymore.

I thought the special counsel statute referenced was passed by congress but had a sunset clause and is no longer the law? Therefore Jack Smith is unique because he is not been approved by congress and is not a government employee. So a citizen can just be appointed with no oversight? I don’t think Jeb gives this enough potential to actually be the correct ruling.

It's official! I am not renewing my Free Press! There are some good articles that come out for free but that everyday write under Barry Weiss is too left leaning and full of Rude, Mean and Biased opinions that are based on falsehoods and some kind of holier than thou bullshit! I couldn't even get past the first two paragraphs before I just felt sick to my stomach.
