Maybe we need an office that works with the public defenders office that works on sentencing, over incarceration, inequity in jail time, ways to reform the system to reduce the harm to the perpetrators and find ways to keep one time offenders…

But that should not fall onto the DAs shoulders. There is much to work on but public safety should be the DAs only job.
