A couple of years back I noticed that the ALA's "Banned" Books Week was as loony and leftist as, say, NPR and NYT, but at the time, few others seemed to have noticed. So far as I can tell, "Banned" Books Week is now basically about *To Kill a Mockingbird* (for old time's sake) + a long list of LGBTQIA2STUVWXYZ+$%-related books. Like so many other similar institutions, it has been co-opted by the totalitarian left. Now it just seems to be just one more sock puppet parroting (as the Critical Drinker would say) The Message...
