What is happening on the streets and in some government offices in LA is a case study in the breakdown of the rule of law, the very backbone of civil society and freedom. It is one thing for the mob to resist the law, it is quite an escalation for elected law makers to defy the rule of law by supporting the mob. I watched two hours of live feeds from media throughout LA last night. Not a single riot, and twice as many cops and sheriffs as protestors.
