Just as many people need to know that electricity does not come from a wall, obtaining lithium, cobalt, etc. does not come from wind-powered mining equipment. If you want to be a true environmentalist, you should never buy a cell phone, never buy high-end fashion and always buy used cars. I have been in the supply chain optimization business for 30 years, and can provide math to back all of that up.

True environmentalist would live minimalist, for sure. Unless they behave like the Amish, they shouldn’t be preaching to any of us. And I never buy new cars. I can, I just don’t.

Meanwhile assholes rushing to virtue signal like Gavin Newsom and Kathy Hochul are making it a state law to require electric cars. Electric cars are the single product driving the insurmountable spike in demand for cobalt. And Asshole Ultimate Joe Biden just announced new regs to penalize gas cars to push electric cars by 2023. These assholes are children killers. Just look up Cobalt in Congo on YouTube and you'll see kids 4-5 years old digging in the mines with bare hands and walking in mud in bare feet. Small children who should be in first grade are working in these mines with no protective gears. And they ARE dying.
