You are missing the point. Men need violence, whether it’s war or football or lacrosse. And as a woman, that’s exactly the type of man I want. A man expressing himself artistically is not as sexy as a man chopping down a tree. 🤷🏻♀️
PH, it isn't so much "violence." Neither football nor lacrosse (which I still play) are "violent" per se. Rather they involve physical contact, controlled aggression, testing one's self and, most important, the sense of the "team." Of a brotherhood, for lack of a better term. A few of the veterans here have described that sense of bonding and love much better than can I. And I'm equally sure they detested the violence and death of war. But the bond endured.
No Aken with all due respect the type of thought I referred to is in essence magical thinking and you have engaged in it by equating artistic struggle with facing live ammunition struggle. There is a difference and if you cannot grasp it I cannot explain it to you. But a person who cannot distinguish the difference is also likely to accept that that the border is closed. Not because they are bad people but because they engage in abstract thought. That can be very problematic when confronting concrete issues. Which may well be why we have a rising tide of concrete issues - inflation, high crime, $32,000,000,000,000 national debt, rampant fentanyl overdoses, millions of newly admitted residents of the nation notwithstanding rampant homelessness, . . ..
Sure sure. I can see it. Creating something like a Piss Christ is so manly, fighting off the legions of evil of those who just don’t see your art the way it’s meant. So ennobling. So heroic.

Well aren’t you the Romeo! I’m sure your wife appreciates your manly drawings and paintings…
That’s directly against the point of the discussion. What you want is a male. The guy Bari was speaking to wants a MAN.
No it cannot. This type of thinking leads to the idea that the southern border is secure.

Are you effing kidding me sport?
You should have stopped after the first three words.
