My favorite thing about cancel culture is when left-wing extremists say it is “just consequences”.

Yeah, ya idiot, and the death penalty is also “just consequences”. Obviously, unless you’re retarded, we are discussing whether or not the consequences are excessive.

Imagine if we gave the death penalty for jaywalking and I was like

“Oh so you don’t think there should be consequences for your actions???”

We generally underrate how much Democrats are just flat-out imbeciles.

"We generally underrate how much Democrats are just flat-out imbeciles."

can we please stop generalising groups of people like this? the whole point of this video/article is exactly to see nuance and explore other points of views... yes, dismissing something as "just consequences" is not helpful but Democrats are not "flat-out" imbeciles, they just as complex a group of human being as republicans, or any other group. (for the record, that's from someone who's not even American, I have never even set foot in the US before). vilifying whole groups of people as "imbecilies" or anything thta makes us see them as less than human is exactly what leads us away from dialogue and to violence.

You are expressing what I consider to be a nice sentiment. Unfortunately, Democrats started calling their opponents racists. In case you aren’t fully up to date, ‘racist’ is literally the worst thing you can call someone. Democrats have been doing this nonstop for decades. They are animals.

the fact that one group name calls and/or dehumanises another group doesn't make it right to name-call and dehumanise them. i.e., I'm sure I'm not the most knowledgeable person about whatever it is democrats are calling republicans, whatever it is though, it doesn't make it right to call them "animals". I'm not sure you listened to the podcast, but Megan talks quite a bit her family. A lot of people would call them "stupid, imbeciles, animals etc...". they are not, and when you listen to megan talking about them, this becomes crystal clear, they are human, complex and nuanced like all of us are. or at least I hope this was clear for the majority of listeners. same goes for tthe so-called "trans activists", I wholeheartedly agree with JK rowling and yet I don't see them as animals, evil or anything of the sort.

Have no religion, especially not a "woke" one. Love facts. Too bad so many on here don't and/or have incorrect ones.

Have property in Costa Rica and Panama. Have spent substantial time in both places throughout the years. Have yet to have a problem. Cental America comprises different countries, so might want to do yourself a favor and consider that.

Why is everyone so wound up that I'm retiring outside the U.S.? That's weird. It's like you're taking this...personally?

Why are you bringing in heteronormative, race, trans, race, etc.? Sounds like you have some issues.

According to "List of countries by intentional homicide rate" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_intentional_homicide_rate) there are 8 countries in Central America. They are Belize (25.7), Costa Rica (11.2), El Salvador (37.2), Honduras (36.3), Guatemala (17.5), Mexico (28.4) Nicaragua (7.9), and Panama (11.1). The numbers in parenthesis are the murder rate per 100,000. The number for the US is 6.5.

Every country in Central America is ahead of the US in murder. The average is more than 3x the US.

Of course, I could point out that Baltimore had a population of 609 thousand in 2019 and 348 murders. Nebraska had a population 1.934 million and just 45 murders. I won't point that out. I promise not to point that out.

My wife and I had a discussion on this this evening. I asked her if she had thought about why the folks in Georgia have yet to come in with an indictment yet.

She replied that they had yet to find the smoking gun.

I quickly agreed with her since a smoking gum would have Trump indicted faster than the proverbial NYC can driver blow the horn when the light turns green.

Most reasonable people would think that after 2-1/2 years there wouldn't be that much smoke to find.

This same critique applies to the Durham investigation of the FBI/DoJ to some degree although political gatekeeping and stonewalling can't be ruled out as factors covering for what most Americans understand to be the seriousness of any possible charges against executive service government players whose positions require Senate confirmation.

You missed the point...whether or not intentionally is another discussion.

Yes, of course, all of the ducks need to be in a row. But the problem with lining up the ducks is that by the time you have the last duck with his bill in the proper place, the ducks in front have gotten bored and gone off on their own.

The argument that no one has ever indicted a former president is about as meaningless as it gets.

Federal statutes are pretty clear-cut if you actually read them for what they say. They lay out EXACTLY what a prosecutor has to prove to obtain a conviction. A prosecutor, of course, has to be aware of the beyond-a-reasonable doubt problem in bringing a charge before a jury. Virtually any alternative, as long as it is reasonable, derails a criminal prosecution. And a derailed prosecutions is...well...er...a spurious prosecution.

So, here we are two-and-a-half years on and a prosecutor has yet to be able to bring a charge. Sort-of implies that there is, in the immortal words of rogue FBI agent Peter Stzrok, no there there.

It has nothing to do with the accused being a former president. If the evidence is there, the grand jury does what the prosecutor tells them to do. Grand juries are silly putty.

So, what has the prosecutor got?

You're beginning to sound like the continuous loop tape that ran while Robert Mueller was spending all that money.

If a charge is brought, the evidence will be tested in court. But until that time anyone who could be charged is innocent as a matter of law...no matter what you have to say about it.

We are certainly in denial regarding the essence of Leftists. They believe the ends justify the means and they prefer party to country. The Left’s politicization of the justice system is not surprising. The political prosecution of Donald Trump is not surprising. Vivek Ramaswamy claims it is not a Left/Right issue. He is completely wrong. The Right has its defects but not respecting the Rule of Law is not one of them.

The only way to correct this deadly problem is to vote for Trump and other Republicans. Everywhere. Dershowitz is a great lawyer and a great American but he should be Left behind if he does not choose freedom over tyranny.

How would you know what passenger logs on a private aircraft show? I think you forgot to name your source; was it Adam Schiff by any chance?

But the question you pose is a tough one: Should I believe the distinguished Harvard professor with an unblemished character record or the teen-age prostitute who shakes down her customers for more money twenty years later?

I’m going to go with the professor since I know a few and they seem credible. I don’t know any teen-age hookers so I will defer to you on their credibility. By the way, was Virginia Robert’s abducted or was the 17-year-old hooker there on business? Just curious.

I note from your previous post that you don’t believe accused pedophiles should have legal representation. What about accused murderers? Tell them to represent themselves or just lock them up?

Because I'm not the one who said "Since when is it about justice" its not,it's about getting Trump. Every point you made you contradicted yourself. If you were honest you would just say I hate this fucker so bad, I and other like minded people think the constitution shouldn't apply to him and his ilk. What exactly happened on 1/6 ? A revolt? To take violent action against authority, or to refuse to be controlled or ruled. More than 200 arrested in D.C. six police officers were injured after the revolters set fires and smashed windows. 1/20/2016. Classified as a protest. Was it a riot? An occasion when a large group of people behave in a noisy, violent, and uncontrolled way in public. More than 200 rioters arrested for aggressively rioting during the Senate Judiciary Committee hearings. 37 rioters were removed from the committee room and charged with crowding, obstruction or incommoding. One rioter was arrested in the Judiciary Committee room and charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, simple assault and disruption of congress. We're he's still being held. Just kidding. They were all released. This was classified as a demonstration/protest.was it a insurrection? An violent organized and armed uprising against authority or operations of a government. Insurrectionest mobs burt down and vandalized city's ransacked stores, murdered, and injured thousands of people, leaving billions of dollars in damages. While leaders in the Democrat party stood in solidarity with them. Classified as mostly peaceful protests. So, going by definition alone. Trump's inauguration would fall between a revolt and rior. Kavanagh hearings, a riot ,Jan 6 a riot. The summer of rage was an insurrection in solidarity with the Democrat party.

Just remember you may be okay with the government colluding with the tech companies to restrict speech and denying people their first amendment rights. It may not touch you now, but if you read history it will touch you. I lived in Detroit during the 64 and 67 riots, so yes I have first hand knowledge of the carnage it leaves in it's path.
