I'm fit, 39, female, and healthy. I face a similar risk from Covid injury and Covid vaccine injury - if the Ottawa study is as accurate as it appears to be, then I actually face a much higher risk from the vaccine than Covid.

I am not getting vaccinated. There are all sorts of personal reasons for this from a health perspective - something my doctor fully agrees with. However, at this point even if my doctor and I could be convinced the risks were worth it to me personally to get vaccinated, I am not getting vaccinated because I am allergic to old men trying to coerce me to put something in my body I don't want to want to by claiming "its good for me." The risk I face personally from Covid is tiny in comparison to the risk we all face from authoritarianism.

That Ottawa study undercounted the number of vaccine doses administered. After correcting that, the risk estimate of heart inflammation drops by a factor of around 20x, so you probably want to re-run your cost/benefit calculation.

Even at 1 in 20,000 my risk remains higher from the vaccine. Moreover, the long term consequences remain unknowable. Several pathologist are sounding the alarm on increases in certain cancers for younger vaccine recipients not being see in the unvaccinated - cancers I happen to be at higher risk for.

Furthermore, all data indicates that increases in vaccinations for the young and healthy, and extended demands to isolate the healthy with the sick, is that we are getting more virulent strains that pose potentially greater because of the greater viral loads. Florida is over 70% vaccinated for its 12 and over population. The dashboard has a great report where you can follow the graphs of vaccinations and the outbreak spiraling out of control. It looks very similar to Israel, UK, and UAE. The correlation for all is that when only the high risk have been vaccinated, aside from the initial spike likely due to short term vaccine induced susceptibility (clearly seen if you pull up the VA Covid dashboard and look at "1 shot" in January 2020 or Gibraltar), spread and deaths plummeted. As soon as it spread to mass vaccinations of the low risk, beginning around 4 months after "fully vaccinating" a majority of the high risk, there is greater spread and reduced effectiveness of the vaccines. That data completely negates the underlying argument for mandates because it shows, in replication, that higher population wide rates of vaccination results in reduced protection for the vaccinated and unvaccinated alike from infection. If those of us who are unvaccinated face a higher risk of death as a result, it is our personal risk alone.

As it related to my personal choice, its mine. I am always open to listening to facts. If someone comes out with a genuine live virus vaccine, I'll probably get it because of the type of immunity those convey - and because of the long term effectiveness of similar polio and measles vaccines. Unless there is a manufacturing malfunction with the inputs the long term risk are at worse the same as infection from Covid. J&J is not live virus, it uses an adeno virus as a vector to introduce only a portion of the SARS-COV-2 spike. The mRNA will hijack my ribosomes to create millions to billions of proteins from a portion of the SARS-COV-2 spike. By targeting only a portion of the spike at extremely high levels of introduction to the body the vaccines would illicit a huge immune response while offering only short term protection. having a huge immune response to anything carries risks, both known and unknowable.

Based on my current risk I have chosen to risk getting sick and gaining robust broad immunity. I have already obtained the most common treatments at home - both natural and actual western medicine. I don't have any interest in taking on the greater risk of getting very sick from being exposed near vaccination (which is extremely well established) because there is a broad outbreak in my area right now. If you read the details of many people dying recently, and look at the data, they got the "jab" very close to being exposed and got very very sick. Some fail to notice because the media doesn't care to inform people.

A great example is the 66 year old teacher in Dallas who "did everything right," whose death the media used to imply she died because an unvaccinated kid got her sick. In reality, its unknown how she acquired the virus, but it is known she was actively infected with Covid and decided to get a 3rd "jab" rather than treatment. Two days later she had "wacky symptoms" and died shortly there after. The real message should have been "if you get Covid, get treatment and absolutely do not get vaccinated while infected." Instead dishonest narrative was spewed to imply kids are little viruses killing people simply by breathing. This has played out thousands of times - people die from Covid because they got the vaccine and were exposed, either before or after, within a week, and they got extraordinarily sick and died. Because of how the government is defining "unvaccinated" this is being hidden rather then properly communicated. Being low risk for a severe outcome but a significant likelihood of being asymptomatic, considering the high current outbreak, and knowing the test are far from infallible, its not worth it to me - that alone, and I'd probably feel that way even if I were high risk right now.

Finally, I have one child who participated in an oral immunotherapy study when she was two for food allergies. Her risk of actual death and hospitalization, either way, was MUCH higher than mine with Covid. Food allergies are an immune system malfunction and having our child's life at risk we learned more than 99.9% of the population will ever know about how immune systems actually function. Our son also had a severe immune reaction to vaccinations as a baby that resulted in over a year of 105 degree temps a few days every few weeks from an immune system over reacting. It was 14 months of countless blood and other tests to rule things out, countless trips to the pediatrician, and huge amounts of research. Because we travel to developing and 3rd world countries with our children, we still wanted him vaccinated against most things. We had to learn about every vaccine and combination to spread them out and prepare his little body for each and every one once his immune system calmed down so he could be both protected and healthy.

Most importantly, it wasn't our masters degrees or reading of frequently biased articles that allowed my husband and I to learn this, it was our experience and concern for our children that gave us real life experience. It was with our pediatricians assistance and encouragement that we read numerous med school text books and countless studies so we could work with him in an informed way because the stakes of our decisions either way were genuinely life and death for our babies.

You can disagree with my assessment all you want. But its mine to make for myself just as its yours to make for you. I am not telling you what to do. I will not be lectured by authoritarian internet hacks who know absolutely nothing material about my individual circumstances, public health "experts" like Fauci and Ferguson who have long track records of utter failure causing substantial unnecessary harm (long before Covid), or morons in the Biden administration who manage to completely screw up everything they insert themselves into.

Enough people agree with me that it has already caused shortages in healthcare as people simply quit in that industry at high enough numbers to put everyone who needs medical care at risk for any reason. Not the virus, the mantes. It is already spreading to education and the supply chain. While the ACLU has become a cheerleader for authoritarianism, the organization wrote a great paper in 2008 reviewing the outcomes of public health mandates versus information and transparency and found not only do mandates crush individual liberty, they also fail.

I am not "anti-vax," and outside the religious viewpoint think to be universally "anti-vax" or universally "pro-vax" is simple minded. Every vaccine is different, there are different types of vaccines that induce immunological responses in different ways and with vastly different degrees of effectiveness and longevity, the risk of harm from various vaccines is vastly different. Take Polio - while initial vaccines for polio were pulled for causing harm to hundreds of thousands of children, the live virus polio vaccine we have today is incredibly safe and effective. In contrast, the H1N1 vaccine from last decade was pulled after 5 years for causing long term and debilitating insomnia while not being very effective. The diseases vaccines are meant to protect from are different, the risks individuals face are different based on the individual. Vaccines aren't skittles and its a sign of lack of ignorance to treat them as such.

I thought we were supposed to respect private health decisions between women and their doctors? Hmmm, guess not.
