This is stellar. Sly. Droll. Kudos River Page.

Actually, it's not a bad idea. They're shameless, feckless, intellectually and politically anodyne, and are credible managers. Such a company would be right at home with the rest of social media.

Well, that's 4 minutes of my life wasted on this article...for some reason I thought it would be a serious piece. My mistake...

I used to think calling people "retarded" was mean. But I have since learned that calling Joe Biden "Mr. President" is even meaner...

I love this. Immaculate wit.

I saw in news today that China would prefer a ban to a sale. That is a shrewd move by the PRC. A ban could have a two-pronged effect, at least in my fevered imagination: it would allow the PRC leadership to accuse the US government of exactly the same sort of heavy-handed censorship that we all know the PRC is guilty of, giving them a moral win; and the ban would stoke the appetites of young Americans who would suddenly view TikTok usage as a tantalizing rebellion. Obfuscation VPN usage will go through the roof as young people tune into a TikTok that will no longer pretend to be benign, and they will have a captive and eager audience.

I got so distracted by the fact that you didn't know MS bought Activision that I didn't read the last paragraph.

You wasted a TFP piece on a 'boy the Kardashians sure are famous' joke? Really? This was lame.

An article that is really a big shaggy dog story. A new low for the Free Press.

Where do I get my 3 minutes back?

If you're old enough to remember...... It was Sam Walton who took pride, and advertised as such, that his products were "made in America." TImes change (as the accountant rule and institutional shareholder ownership increased). Profits first, second, and last.

All the arguments for the Kardashians buying TikTok are sound (in my opinion). However, I don't think they have enough money. Oracle and Microsoft do have enough money and are the likely buyers (in my opinion). Activision might have enough money, I am not sure either way.
