For once I would love to listen to a panel that consisted of working class folks who navigate the world of race every day in their so-called "normal" jobs. Men and women who take the subway, sit in a cubicle at their computers and count on (perhaps) a 2% raise after a year if they're lucky. Also, interview school kids of middle school and high school ages. What have they been taught? How to they really feel about their black and Jewish counterparts?

A good point. This panel was not much different from a gaggle of East Coast elites on NPR. They’d not do well in a hip hop lounge or a country bar.

Military enlisted would also be interesting to hear from. Boot camp is designed to break everyone down and rebuild them as a cohesive fighting force. The last place you want to worry about racism or really any -ism is when shots start flying.

Long term prisons would be another interesting group. I think most have heard that if you ever go to prison you will need to find your racial group and then pay the protection fee.
