The more our society pushes for various types of equality, the more it becomes clear what people ACTUALLY want...which is hot blonde chicks in bikinis.
Would could have guessed? 🤷♂️
CNN should consider a series about that...might help with ratings.

If you are looking for a place to get your doctorat, go to Jill's university. They are giving them out at the door. You can fly in in the morning and fly home that afternoon with your degree in your hand.
I read Jill Biden's doctoral thesis a few years back.
I was appalled by its lack of anything that could actually be termed "scholarship," and it certainly didn't add to the cumulative body of the education discipline.
Had I turned such a paper into my 11th grade English teacher, I would have been told to redo.
Read it, folks...It is a fine example of what has happened to our colleges and universities...
I won't even get into how the granting institution got certification to offer graduate degrees.
Apparently, you don't have to be blond to attract attention. All you have to be is moderately attractive and have big boobs. Maybe you don't not even have to be moderately attractive, just have big boobs.
Please if CNN offers you the job don’t take it, they dinosaurs. You will become extinct like all the others have - their news program is pure crap, they can TG that the have the Trump factor otherwise they would be obsolete.
OMG your application was the funniest I have read in ages.I got everyone right in spin the wheel the grift questions obviously it was a slam dunk. I think if you looking for a job or a comedy slot try Joe Rogan’s new club in Austin Texas, it’s a no holds bar club this would go down really well!
I don't think they have to be blonde or white. But a fit, well-groomed, respectable behaving disciplined women draws the attention of any man. The beer companies used to know that.
I don't believe it is in our nature. We've been programmed. See the doc "killing us softly". Besides we are even looking at 'humans', we are looking at a fake beauty world. No real appreciation for what human means.
Why can’t we have both? Acceptance of evolution as a major factor in our mating behavior yet consensus that our culture (East and West and probably everywhere) was always about transcending nature - before TikTok, which ironically came to us from the East.
A dysfunctional hyper-sexualized society is not transcendence or healthy, respectful mating. Transcend nature? Nonsense.
Society functions best when standards of decency and social manners are honored. While men love to gawk at over-sexualized women, the behavior of both harms women. Sexually aggressive women are as destructive to society as aggressive men. Both do damage.
I think you haven’t understood my point. Acceptance of evolution as a factor has nothing to do it accepting hypersexualized behavior or a permissive culture. And if I may add, I know that TikTok is not the root cause of the problem. Read Neil Postman for some insights. It’s interesting how “the disappearance of childhood” reads in 2023. I realize that this forum is not majority intellectual, and won’t waste my time here arguing with people who can’t read.
Helena Cronin wrote a book called The Ant and the Peacock back in the nineties. It is a masterful examination of the dynamics of sexual selection in the evolution of species (and a lovely read). It puts the lie to all that goofiness about everything human being a social construct.
Biologically, men (unawares) look for hip to waist ratio (procreation) and women look for status and wealth ( safety for the babies). At least this was conventional knowledge until 20 or so years ago.
Sophia the "programmed" argument simply isn't true. People like what they like in all shapes and sizes. Are we programmed to think men and women in their 20s and 30s are more attractive than men and women in their 70s? Of course not, it's just nature - the tv isn't programming that into any of us.
Sophia, the fact that other primates behave just like humans (preferring what they view as beauty) shows that you have no idea what you are talking about. The 'programming' happened billions of years ago. It is called 'evolution'. You may have heard of it, but then again it may be a new word for you.
Not really. People have been enhancing their attractiveness for millenia. It is an individual choice to do so. The modern "beauty industry" is a drop in the time bucket and as such has not existed long enough to program anything. It may, or may not be, express attempts to influence cultural norms. Nothing more.
The doc "Killing Us Softly" was made in the early 80s because de-humanizing women in advertising was a already a serious problem. Not a drop in the bucket. It's gotten so much worse. Personally, I hate seeing women do it to themselves.
Measure of what? And not this culture just some people or maybe a subset. The very short-sighted subset. So short -sighted as to be functionally blind. These are the same type of people as those who fall for temperature records - the hottest/wettest/coldest day ever. The same type of people who believe you can just imagine reform and -poof- it will magically appear.
Yeah - I hate what those male peacocks have done to themselves too. Do you realize the predator hazards they face carrying around tail feathers like that? So often lethal!
Isn't it interesting that as the limitations for women have been reduced, the overall public behavior has not trended away from the "superficial" but towards the "superficial."
The more egalitarian a culture is, the more freedom, the more we see women follow their true interests. In Sweden et al. we see less women graduating and working in STEM fields in favor of non-stem fields REGARDLESS of how well they do in school in math and science.
Women are more attractive; people are rarely self-aware and particularly when they are younger and more randy. It's unsurprising to me that people take advantage of their youth and beauty by becoming caricatures that they'll probably regret when older. Like all those tattoos. An old age home in about 50 years is going to have a lot of wrinkly unintelligible things on sleeves and elsewhere.
Me too. When I was a young defense lawyer offense reports were on paper and you got the whole shebang. Including the part with "Scars, tattoos, and other identifying marks". No thanks. Might as well be branded.
Judging from the owners' impulse control and decision making skills - I would fathom that the average lifespan of an earlobe plug owner is less than those of the rest of the population. Just an educated guess.
Yes and no. Cultural norms and standards do change. Hygiene has come a long way. But I think our bodies are changing. We are getting bigger and taller. I think our brains are not much changed. What we put in them has changed but how the brain processes work, not so much.
I think it’s precisely in our nature, Sophia. When your survey other animals in the animal kingdom, you find countless examples of how potential reproductive mates are attracted by various combinations of beauty, strength and skills. Humans have added to this list things like money or kindheartedness. You can celebrate our own evolution in what we consider attractive, but you can’t dismiss what you call “programming” because that is indeed part of who we are as creatures. Furthermore, I think it’s a bit presumptuous and elitist to tell others that their attractions are due to programming, implying that yours are somehow more enlightened.
"I think it’s a bit presumptuous and elitist to tell others that their attractions are due to programming, implying that yours are somehow more enlightened."
Wow! how did you assume that. I implied nothing. The implication is yours!
There are fashion trends and there are also face and body trends. For example, even Elvis Presley when thin and young would not meet todays standard for the highly muscled six-pack male body. He would have needed one more drug to acheive that look.
Today, some men take dangerous levels of steroids to achieve the muscular look. Take a look at the men advertising cologne and ask yourself if that is a real body or a plastic surgeon's masterpiece with a touch of photoshopping. While women receive far more messages with photoshopped and surgically altered bodies and faces, males are also a part of acheiving the "perfect" body and face through surgery and chemicals. Sophia is correct, the standards are becoming plastic and fake.
I saw a production of the Rocky Horror Show in Baltimore last weekend. The guy playing Rocky, who wears just a golden speedo and gold boots, had a really solid physique within the realm of the possible without drugs and plastic surgery. I was appalled that I thought he looked a little chubby. The effect of the programming is real.
I agree that these two girls are exemplars of something fake. They aren't even particularly attractive, as I mentioned above, missing more um, typical secondary sexual characteristics associated with reproductive success. But I get the impression you were talking about something more spiritual.
My girlfriend when I was 18 was a cross country runner who did marathons and the like. She had more body fat than those two and necessarily bigger boobs and a butt. But, she didn't take any substances. So yeah, think what you like. We can all see it.
The more our society pushes for various types of equality, the more it becomes clear what people ACTUALLY want...which is hot blonde chicks in bikinis.

This is a gem. Congratulations Mr. CEO!
Read Gordon's link on Jill Biden's doctoral thesis and you will find she is as stupid as Joe is and he is pretty damned stupid:

That is maybe my favorite thing I have ever written.
there is an error in your post. If a HS freshman had turned in a paper like Jill's, the teacher would have the freshman redo it.
Speaking of which, why is it that on-camera CNN anchors are never homely (Amanpour and Stelter excepted) or disfigured?
Amanpour was a holdover from Turner's original stable of good journalists.
Unfortunately, in the past decade, she has turned to advocacy journalism with an energy and dedication that are disturbing.
Instead they try to ram Lizzo down our throats as the true paragon of beauty.
Try this: mention to your wife or girlfriend that "Hey you look like Lizzo!" and see how far that "compliment" gets you.
This should make every Democrat proud to be a leftwing loony toon. Guess the Budweiser fiasco taught them nothing.

I hope people click the link. it is superb. as are all of your sub stacks. ( not paid for this )
Not exactly superb, but appropriate in today's realities.
Ia agree, however. that Licht should have made a few, very public alpha moves to create the expectations of ruthless response to insubordination.

Ha! Gordon, you’d definitely draw an audience!
Your link was brilliant. It was not just humor it was truth through humor. It made me laugh. It was a great find. Kevin would love it.
Thanks!
🙏
G-read it. So witty and funny I was lol waiting for my doctor. Came home read it to my husband. Fingers crossed you get the job!

his subs are very funny and so true. glad you took the time
That was the old page (though it should be forwarding). The new one is www.sub-verses.com

I’m not so sure David!
Humans like looking at attractive humans. It is our nature and always will be no matter how hard they try to push against it.
I don't believe it is in our nature. We've been programmed. See the doc "killing us softly". Besides we are even looking at 'humans', we are looking at a fake beauty world. No real appreciation for what human means.

Seems you point is to just be nasty. You can't make things clear. Oh. but, blame the other for your failings. !diot. Don't both me again.

Sophia, the 80s are not ancient history. Humans have been slowly (thank goodness) evolving for half an eon. The 80s were this morning.
In this culture the 80s are a significant measure.
Measure of what? And not this culture just some people or maybe a subset. The very short-sighted subset. So short -sighted as to be functionally blind. These are the same type of people as those who fall for temperature records - the hottest/wettest/coldest day ever. Personally I think it is very superficial to think that one can will away half an eon of human evolution.
Women are more attractive; people are rarely self-aware and particularly when they are younger and more randy. It's unsurprising to me that people take advantage of their youth and beauty by becoming caricatures that they'll probably regret when older. Like all those tattoos. I'm with you on the tattoos. My policy is to never put anything on you can't take off.
Me too. When I was a young defense lawyer offense reports were on paper and you got the whole shebang. Including the part with "Scars, tattoos, and other identifying marks". No thanks. Might as well be branded.
I can't wait to see what time does to those earlobe stretch plugs. ... Well, actually I can wait.
Judging from the owners' impulse control and decision making skills - I would fathom that the average lifespan of an earlobe plug owner is less than those of the rest of the population. Just an educated guess.
Probably look like a mini version of 90 year old boobs
Or dicks.
What an @ss!

So, you agree with my comments?
Well, she doesn't know the difference between imply and infer so not a lot going on upstairs there
You seem quite defensive.
You come across as an @ss AND a troll. Glad I'm not you.
Sophia, dare I suggest that it is you who is the one who has been "programmed"?
There are fashion trends and there are also face and body trends. For example, even Elvis Presley when thin and young would not meet todays standard for the highly muscled six-pack male body. He would have needed one more drug to acheive that look.

Apparently you do dare. But, if you can't say more, you've said nothing.
I agree that these two girls are exemplars of something fake. They aren't even particularly attractive, as I mentioned above, missing more um, typical secondary sexual characteristics associated with reproductive success. But I get the impression you were talking about something more spiritual.
No, they6 are not something fake. They simply are a small minority of human. Nothing fake about what they look like. Try to get over yourself.
My girlfriend when I was 18 was a cross country runner who did marathons and the like. She had more body fat than those two and necessarily bigger boobs and a butt. But, she didn't take any substances. So yeah, think what you like. We can all see it.
You need to stop fantasizing o er you former 18 year old on-Hottie.
I was thinking Ozempic.
Don't think I need to say anything more. You know exactly what I am talking about. As do apparently, some of the commenters here.
The times they are a changing. Lines that worked for decades now fall flat. Maybe time for some new "programming."
It's not limited to humans either, very well-known phenomenon in the animal kingdom.
It's about symmetry in nature. And what about flowers? Is it wrong to appreciate beauty?
It's not "fair" to the ugly flowers.
It's ok, Jeff.
I'm sure your family thinks you're handsome.
True that
CNN? It wouldn't be trustworthy.
