I have learned over the past several years to be extremely skeptical of the media reporting on controversial issues, and I was originally duped by this one.

But what really astonishes me about this is exactly as Bari mentions- that many news outlets are STILL doubling down and asserting completely false claims about the situation despite there being irrefutable evidence to the contrary.

And the fact that riots likely break out if/when he is acquitted will (or at least SHOULD) be on those peoples' consciences for continuing to spew these lies. I'd love for there to be some accountability against newscasters and politicians(!) who foment turmoil by spreading lies. It's like crying "Fire!" in a movie theater.

The mainstream media is doing a fantastic job of keeping the rubes of this country distracted from the real problem we face as American's today, the ever widening of wealth disparity of the elite's vs the rest of us. 71% percent wealth growth of billionaires over the past 18 months is indicative of my point.

That's just silly, or perhaps envy. If Elon has another billion dollars and you only have another $5000, are you worse off?

If Jeff B's not paying his f*cking taxes, and I spend through that $5,000 because my car gets wrecked driving over roads and bridges that are falling apart, yes.

Maybe not Jeff directly, but most certainly corporations that pay zero tax are playing a factor. 55 American corporations pay ZERO taxes. Why is that not more of a new story? Again, my point is the media and the stories they CHOOSE to cover and simple minded people that get lead by the nose via their political beliefs. Rubes are easy to manipulate.

Why are you assuming I have no wealth?? I do quite well for myself. I'm simply pointing out how easily people are distracted by news media narratives that really play no part in their lives. How many news reports have you read that illustrate the growth in billionaires wealth while the majority of Americans continue the long slide to poverty?
