Bari, I admire your courage and your writing, and I wish you the best of luck with the pregnancy. I understand that you hate Trump with passion. So I am not finding your turn of phrasing unexpected, but please, can you just admit that previous administration, not "past year"

"has brought unprecedented ties between Israeli Jews and Arabs in Israel and across the region, not least with the Abraham Accords".

I didn't know that Bari was anti-Trump. How sad. That explains that fact that she left out the elephant in the room in her article: we had peace in the Middle East during Trump's presidency.

@Bari I would admire you even more if you could take an objective look at 2020 election. Here is what was discovered in Arizona Audit so far: BOS obstructing subpoena , admitting it didn't have control over the elections and deleting the files. AZ President of Senate letter addresses it. We need honest people on the left to wake up! https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2021/05/breaking-maricopa-county-elections-officials-deleted-entire-database-voting-machines-including-election-information-main-database/

I hope Arizona can get to the bottom of this.

Media keep repeating that there was no election irregularities or "wide-spread" fraud.

But in an election decided by less than 20,000 votes in 4 states - you don't need "wide-spread" fraud to change an election.

Regardless, if the election was as clean as they say - why do they resist a review of the election so that, at least, we can be sure this kind of thing never happens again?

Exactly. All 50 states must do the audit, and people in GA, NH, WI and MI are fighting. We must all get engaged - https://lookaheadamerica.org/volunteer/ or https://www.precinctstrategy.com/ are a good place to start.

Why do Jews so often hate those who are their greatest supporters? Trump did enormous good for Israel and for Jews. Yet most American Jews buy "the narrative" that Trump is evil. Comments on this blog bemoan the fact that the media don't report the full story of the attacks on Israel - but they eat up the all B.S. that the media serves when it comes to Trump.

To be clear - I'm not a Trump fan. I think he was/is the wrong man to lead the populist-wing of the Republican Party. But I also can separate the policies from the flawed man. Why can Jews do that? Are we, ourselves, so blinded by media that we have lost the ability to discern facts and to use reason to guide us ?

Meanwhile, Jews give Biden a pass. Biden has done nothing for Jews - just a bunch of words that we've all heard before. And he is determined to follow a policy that will result in Iran becoming a nuclear power. Every Jew should shiver at that prospect.

Wake UP.

With Trump you got the unvarnished. You didn’t like the tweets? Ignore them

Our country is being destroyed and people are virtue signaling their hate Trump bona fides. That’ll keep ya warm when the heat goes out. Sheesh.

People can't handle the truth so they vote for the lie. Then the NYT, et al. reinforce how morally, ethically, and intellectually superior they are for believing the lie.

I wonder how many cars festooned with anti-Trump bumper stickers are sitting in gas lines in the Southeast right now?

That is funny and ironic. Trump would never have put up with an attack on our infrastructure. I wonder if the Dems in gas lines secretly miss Trump. Hm.

Trump’s a racist bigot, a rapist, a liar, and a dire threat to American democracy. Pretty sure that qualifies as evil.

YMMV

The threat to US democracy comes from the LEFT: clearly and unequivocally. Biden voted against busing - he's a bigot. Biden has been accused of assaulting women - he's a rapist. Biden lies about everything - he's a liar. He is a thread to US democracy.

Trump is objectively a racist. Objectively a rapist. Objectively a liar.

He’s also denying the results of a fair election and encourages his supporters to violently resist the US government. I suppose you could argue that this is subjective as to whether it’s a dire threat to our democracy, but frankly if you disagree then I don’t believe you support democracy.

As I said: YMMV

Most interesting. Note that the documentation on lies by the Washington Post now is at 198,765 (just for the 4 years of "Russian collusion" lies, "bounties" and "impeachment").

And I'm sorry you haven't been reading the news lately, or you would know of the increasing evidence that Arizona was stolen. If that weren't the case, why are the election officials doing all they can to obstruct the official audit of the election in Maricopa County: https://amgreatness.com/2021/05/12/az-election-auditors-claim-maricopa-county-officials-deleted-databases-from-voting-machines-before-handing-them-over/ There are, of course, serious concerns about several other states.

And the fundamental question: How could the weakest major-party Presidential ticket in decades win so many votes? Biden and Harris rarely were in public, yet won many more votes than Clinton-Kaine. President Trump had a positive approval rating through most of October, hitting 51% on election day.

This is spot on. In this past election, Orthodox Jews overwhelmingly were voting Republican (Trump) in this election because they knew that electing Biden/Harris would lead to the failed anti-Israel/pro-Iran policies again. It pains me to see how Israel in a matter of months under this new administration is fighting one of the worst attacks in its history and as expected, under the mainstream media and "wokeness" of this new administration, Israel is receiving no support and as you pointed out in details, are actually being targeted for defending their country.

Bari- I think you are a courageous writer however I think liberal Jews need to take a cold hard look at this Biden administration versus the Trump administration and really ask, did we vote the right way? I'm not saying I loved Trump either but you cannot deny in terms of pro-Israel policies he was beyond successful with the numerous peace deals, flights from Israel to Saudi Arabia and economic restrictions on Iran. I remember seeing one Washington Post headline at the time saying, "These peace deals are good -but not that good" - REALLY???!!!! SO what is happening to Israel is better now? There needs to be a wake-up call amongst Jews and their allies to fight this cancerous battle being launched by the progressive lefts bent on destroying not just America but Israel as well.

And, conversely, the mindless worship of Barak Obama, clearly the most anti-Semitic President and administration in history, is every bit as twisted as the ginned up, visceral hatred for Trump.

BHO's former VP now seems intent on upping the ante. I hope for Israel's sake they aren't looking to the U.S. for support in these dark times. It's not coming.

"Why do Jews so often hate those who are their greatest supporters? " - Good substack article earlier this week by Freddie deBoer (he has a twitter too). I never heard of the guy previously, I think it was retweeted by Glenn Greenwald, but in it Freddie essentially says "if you don't like me, just say it, but don't disagree with my views just because you don't like me."

If the NY Times said Israel was right, their readers would think they're right. I know a devout NY Times reader, very intelligent person too. They see NYTimes as gospel, and other papers (like NY post) as news for dummies. This smart person wants to seem smart, so echoes the Times, since, according to them, only dolts read the Post.

It's not a Trump issue - it's an extermination of the Jews issue. There is one party that supports it, and another one that opposes. President Trump brought peace to the Middle East, and current occupant of the White House destroyed it (along with everything else) in 100 days.
