Agreed but you may be interested in a recent Alex Berezow article (which I tried quickly to find for you but could not) on the strength of this trend. It is not that strong and has a lot of variance in it. Variance is of course always the overlooked quantity in statistics, and it means we shouldn't be particularly certain that any virus will always head in this diredction. (It seems to be doing so now than goodness.)
