Most commenters seem to believe that Kyle Rittenhouse will be acquitted because of, well, the evidence admitted at trial. But I am fearful that not all jurors will have the courage to cast a vote based on the evidence. That will take courage, given that the mob and Leftist political machine demand a different outcome. It looks like the prosecutor took the politically savvy, cowardly route when he decided to charge Rittenhouse with murder--let some lowly common folk on the jury take the heat if the prosecution fails. Is Kenosha law enforcement (the same people who failed to stop the rioters in August 2020) going to protect the jurors if the mob goes after them? Fortunately, the judge appears to be experienced and courageous. Once again, we're dealing with the question of courage or lack of courage.
I'm from the county next to Kenosha, which is the same county that Kyle R and his dad are now living. Kyle wasn't a stranger to Kenosha---he was there often because that's where his dad lived at the time. My son, a year old than Kyle Rittenhouse began college in Kenosha in September 2020. He was supposed to start in August but that was pushed back because of the riots. Kenosha is a working class community and the devastation of the riots was immense and still visible. It took me several months to find the courage to drive through the burned out areas. It was like driving though a bad movie set. I'll never forget it and I don't live there! These jurors do. It's emblazoned in their memories. They now know exactly what Rosenbaum, Huber and especially Grosskreutz were doing that night -- destroying their city. They saw the destruction in hundreds of photos and video clips. No one knows what they will do, but we can't underestimate the images/feelings/perceptions of the humanity of those jurors. And I hope he is acquitted and then sues the shit out of all of those who defamed him, starting with POTUS Biden.
There was an article this week (cannot remember exactly where) that talks about the fact jurors are being “monitored” by “people” in some manner, clearly to influence a certain verdict… I’m betting a dollar it’s a mistrial that the prosecutors then decide not to retry… each clearly had a gun, one was defending himself…if both sides bring guns to to a gunfight in the middle of riots and chaos, results that were seen are inevitable..the goal of riots are to cause chaos. AOC lives in a very affluent part of DC, akin to what her description of suburban life is like…She and others in Congress have plenty of security, but insist on taking away everyone else’s. “those who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones”.
