My comment is purely the absurdity of the US election process and how bad it is.

16B is not junk change.

if money is what decides elections we are in a sorry state which we are.

My suggestions which will never happen:

1. a set amount of federal funds are allocated to each candidate. Any extra money secretly funded disqualify the candidate immediately. HAHA.

2. an 8 week election process.

3. a mandatory 2 debates ideally with non partisan moderators which will never happen so 1 conservative and 1 liberal.

4. one 6 year term with two new candidates after 6 years. If the leader cannot accomplish the goals in 6 years the next set of candidates will continue or change them.

5. No congressional seat should be for more than one 6 year term.

6. The federal debt cannot rise under the term. We are running out of money for the system to survive.

This is like fantasy football.

Swing State Ohio Debate illustrates how uniformed voters can make decisions based on wishful thinking and believing that government is the answer.

Now Nancy Pelosi and Hillary Clinton and Tim Walz are gonna start clucking about how Trump looks like Eichmann in that glass booth, mark my words...Dems have the stink of desperation on them.

New York state voters! NO on Proposal 1! This Trojan Horse, force-teaming ballot initiative claims to be for "reproductive rights" but in fact is to get "gender identity" and "gender expression" into the state constitution. Reproductive rights are protected in NY state since 2019. No boys on the girls' teams, no male convicted murderers (Harvey Marcel, now "Marceline Harvey" killer of 3 women serves life in women's side at Rikers) in women's prison estate. No fathers claiming motherhood!

Nobody would even know who Nick was, if it wasn't for those meddling kids at NYT and WaPo and The Atlantic and The Guardian--the paranoid white liberals who see white supremacists behind every shrubbery. Sure, such people do exist, but who cares? The Dems have 10x as many Hamas supporters mucking up their rallies, but they don't seem to mind.

Nah. Nick had dinner with Trump.

Who cares? Probably non-white people.

Hamas supporters at Harris rallies? Where have we seen that?

Pardon me for my ignorance, but one commenter mentioned having “signed” up for polls. Sign up???

You Gov does polls. They are self selecting so whenever you see their results, don’t view them as scientific.

Our dueling media, and split personality culture:

Washington Post: GOP’s closing election message on health baffles strategists, worries experts; “No Obamacare.” Questioning vaccines. No fluoride in drinking water. They’re all Republican assertions in the final days of the presidential campaign. (I’m not a subscriber so I cannot link the article; I simply am writing the headline that came in an email)

First Things: https://www.firstthings.com/web-exclusives/2024/11/democrats-close-campaign-with-porn:

"...it soon became apparent that the porn star gambit was not simply a Hail Mary from the margins. Rather, it is part of the Democrats’ comprehensive effort to grasp at the loyalties of young men who are leaving the party in droves. Ironically, as much more respectable groups with much more money to burn got in on the porn pitch, the ads themselves became obscene. "

flouride is great for you , a by product of making aluminium load up on it , I've never had it in my toothpaste or water , never had a cavity until I was 55 and that was because most my teeth were broken in an accident when i was 48

Thanks for this. I just helped a young teen dude who contacted me through my channel, where I've posted videos about child development and how "gender" changing can't fit with Piaget's established stages. "Paul" had apparently had exposure to pornography at a too young age, and he developed an ideation that perhaps he's a female "caught in a male body.' I've debunked this many times; I am the ex-wife of such a man and know the corruption in that area of psychology. With a weekly letter exchange via email, I gave him suggestions for a healthier way to approach growing up, first rule, get off the internet. He's now feeling much better, realized he has to guard his mind from the violent and unromantic sexual images.

WHY nothing from ELI LAKE today about Biden & Kamala being “TOP Bullshitter Elites” — oh, I know — because Biden, Kamala and Walz OUTRIGHT LIE, and TFP NEVER did a deep dive on any of those three! Nothing to report folks! Move along!

Notice, in Wiseman’s opening today, we heard of Biden’s “gaffes” which the dictionary defines as “UNINTENTIONAL remarks or blunders.” Olly STILL covering for the sweet, harmless ‘Ole Guy!

BUT, but, but Trump, of course, didn’t make a “gaffe!” No sir, HE made another “violent, bad-tempered” remark!

After we were told, “Kamala’s campaign remained noncommittal. Trump’s started as disciplined … ended up paranoid,” I STOPPED READING!

JESUS GOD, I swear if the election wasn’t tomorrow I would absolutely cancel my support for TFP! I CANNOT TAKE ANY MORE of the BIASED BULLSHIT I’m paying money to support — as much as I do admire Bari!

I am surprised no one (or maybe I shouldn't be) has mentioned Kamala Harris' aggressive support of California Prop 16 a few years back. It aimed to "address systemic inequalities and promote diversity in public education and employment." It was essentially an Anti-Asian proposition. Liberals I know supported it because "there are too many Asians at the university level" in California. Fortunately, it was defeated.

Too many Asians for you, I see. F off all of you.

The Slate idea (or progressive idea at large really) that one should be ideologically and politically “loyal” to one’s race or gender is a big part of what’s wrong with today’s groupthink. Pivoting 180 degrees on important principles in support of a spouse’s political career is a little sus however.

Squirrels are rarely infected with rabies and have never been known to transmit it to humans, so says internet search I did recently. I’m not sure what this raid was really about but it wasn’t really the squirrel…so many problems with this incident…

And the squirrel lived indoors.

And if it was infected its owners would have been sick long ago. I hope some legal firm takes up their case.

Can’t get over the one line that shows how CLUELESS some people are about the effects of COVID on businesses— the part where, in response to the TGIF ceo citing Covid as one of the reasons for closing, the author scoffs and says it’s a bit of a stretch in the year 2024. If you’re a business owner, esp a small business owner, you know it’s not a stretch at all. COVID destroyed so many businesses, and the effects are very much still happening.
