I posted the following comment in response to an editorial in the Wall Street Journal, "The Ivy League’s Anti-Israel Protest Meltdown." I reproduce it here because I believe the The FP may be the only competent collection of writers and actual journalists who might provide detailed answers to the questions I pose:

The anti-Israel protests began on elite college campuses nationwide within 24 hours of the October 7th atrocities committed by Hamas. Because of the speed with which they occurred, these protests were not organic and were used to distract from the heinous nature of the Hamas barbarism and the Palestinians' reaction to it (3 in 4 cheered the events of 10/7).

The real question is how that happened. Who coordinated these protests? Who provided the funding for everything from ready-made signs and flags to transportation and even housing? Who provided a game plan for protest logistics, talking points, and media? Was there any coordination between the protestors and any political party in the USA? What level of coordination occurred between university faculty and administrators? Were elements of the legacy media complicit in hyping the protests and defending them from criticism?

The main stream media (Including the WSJ) has done a very poor job of determining the answers to those questions. There's a Pulitzer Prize in the investigation of all of this, if only a few actual journalists were willing to find the answers.

Bari writes, "But in the past six months these core American beliefs, once deemed immutable, have been challenged in ways that were previously unimaginable, as a rising wave of antisemitism and illiberalism have swept the country—a wave that was put on full display over the last few days, at the country’s most elite and prestigious universities."

Well, no Bari. This would only have been "unimaginable" to people who considered shutting down conservatives for DECADES to be acceptable but only now, when their own tribe is taking the hit, now find it "unimaginable."

Since these campuses are staffed by a more than 90% Democrat majority then it stands to reason that it is the Democrats who shit the fucking bed...

Enjoy cleaning up the mess on this one... I sure as fuck enjoy watching your team try.

The Democrat Party has always been the party of racism. It is the party of slavery, the party of the Confederacy, the party of the KKK, the party of Jim Crow and now the party of antisemitism. Every Dem president from 1900 until present has been a racist, even JFK. JFK's father Joseph Kennedy was a fearsome antisemite and passed that on to his sons. Both Obama and the ever senile Joe are racists. The ever senile Joe voted against bussing:

https://www.nbcnews.com/news/nbcblk/joe-biden-didn-t-just-compromise-segregationists-he-fought-their-n1021626

Robert Byrd a Dem senator filibustered the 1964 civil rights bill. The filibuster was broken with the help of the Rep Party senators. (The Dem held the majority in the senate but could count on the fellow Dems to break the filibuster so the Reps helped them break it.) Byrd was a Grand Cyclops in the KKK and later was voted in by his Dem peers to be the senate majority leader and later minority leader multiple times.

The Dem/Soc Party should change their name to the Hypocrite Party or better yet the Insidious Party.

Once again, I ask, how can a Jew vote Democrat, the pro Hamas party?

No matter how you slice it, historically anti-semitism is a sign that something really bad is about to happen.

Simply suspend or expel any "student" participating in violence or hate speech. Easy. all it takes is common sense and a backbone

DITTO DITTO DITTO TO ROGER PRESSMAN. Everyone opining on why these young people are antisemite and supporting terrorism is being mis-directed. All energy should be focused on who is directing and supporting these well-placed protests to create the resulting image of chaos. That's where the enemy lies. These students are simply useful idiots that we have created through lack of proper education and discipline over the last generation.

All this does for me is reinforce the stereotype of the defenseless Jew. Or maybe it's not a stereotype. I am not going home for the holiday. I am not hiding my Jewishness.

That the president of Columbia University refuses to call in the NYPD, when the NYPD has offered its services, tells one all he or she needs to know. Leftists run Columbia. THEY ALWAYS HAVE. They run the overwhelming majority of educational institutions around the world. The Left hates Israel; it hates the Jews; it hates the supporters of the Jews, which means it hates America. Antisemitism and anti-Americanism share a home on the Left. All of the liberals who continue to vote Democrat are supporting the Left, and you have FOR DECADES! I am not saying yo have to vote Republican. Vote for Kennedy, write in someone, stay home, but remember this: when you vote Democrat you are voting against America, Israel, and liberalism.

The consensus in the west is that a two state solution is the only answer. Fine…here you are.

Religious war requires a two state solution of biblical proportions….and a floating pier.

The idea that Biden, Sunak in the UK and now the EU might unilaterally recognize a Palestinian state without including Israel in the conversations is front and center. Aside from the fact doing so would be an egregious act of hubris; doing so would be rewarding Hamas for the October 7th atrocity while putting Israel in an untenable situation in that the lesson Islamic extremists would embrace is that terrorism is far more effective than negotiations.

There is a far more tenable solution but it would require upending the current paradigm that Israel must once again trade land for peace i.e. the solution would require Arabs and Turkey to trade land for peace. Turkey’s Erdogan has long dreamed of uniting Islamic countries and here is his chance…perhaps to win the Nobel Peace Prize rather than be ejected from NATO.

There is a place for every Palestinian in Gaza and the West Bank but first one must accept negotiating with a fictional people has passed; “Palestinians” are stateless Arabs and Muslims. There is no need to unilaterally recognize a Palestinian state when a far more viable state can be negotiated with the added benefit of an answer in distance…but not apartheid which simply means apartness; I mean real distance.

There is a common sense solution when one calculates the length of the coastline going north from Lebanon including the Tartus/Latakia Governorates of Syria combined with the Hatay (appendix) Province of Turkey it constitutes a strip of land on the Mediterranean that equals Israel’s shoreline. The Tartus Governorate is 731 sq. mi. / the Latakia Governorate is 887 sq. mi. / the Hatay Province is 2133 sq. mi. for a total of 3751 sq. mi. of mostly arable land far exceeding the 1450 sq. mi. of arable land in Israel…and enough shoreline to create an Arab Riviera along with enough land to absorb the every Palestinian in the 2,183 sq. mi. West Bank and the 17 sq. mi. Gaza strip with ease.

Hatay Province is a dirty little secret kept quiet and away from outside eyes; Hatay was annexed in 1939 within a year of the death of Turkey’s founder Ataturk who recognized Hatay as a Syrian province; a deal that was a French ploy to preempt any Turkish alliance with Nazi Germany in an echo of WW1.

Land for peace has been a mantra for decades as have the two state and one state “solutions” and all have failed miserably. It is both reasonable and logical a just God of Sinai would impose upon Islam the definition of justice they themselves imposed upon Israel. The land for peace solution requires detaching the festering appendix that is Hatay Province from Turkey to be joined with Tartus and Latakia to create a federal district much like the District of Columbia; the capitol of the nation of Ishmael which would form around it; an Arab Mediterranean Riviera. It is a vision Erdogan, the Arab states and the Palestinians would find very appealing.

It would be very easy to evacuate Gaza by ship for the short 340 mile trip to Hatay Province. Once the pretense of an identifiable “Palestinian” people is dropped they can start building the Mediterranean Riviera that was originally envisioned by the fools who ceded Gaza. Finally, distance and neutrality would render Islamists incapable of threatening Israel with missiles… potentially avoiding WW3.

Pro-Hamas demonstrations are tolerated by DEI Administrators because of the settler colonist model prevalent in Critical Racist Theory. This is leftist in origin, and has no right wing following. It's exclusive to Democrats. It's gotten to the point that even solid Biden voting Jewish Democrats in my family are watching FOX News because it has the best Israel coverage. However, they still plan to vote straight Democrat, because they refuse to admit how many Democrats are anti-semetic. They still think I'm the politically crazy Protestant Republican for supporting Trump. They don't like CNN & MSNBC Israel coverage at all, but that doesn't tell them anything. It's very frustrating.

By the way, I think Arabs are settler colonialists. But then I'm a baby killer Nam Era Vet. But that's for another time.

Illiberalism, cancel culture, "your own truth," shutting down institutions, shutting down public infrastructure, defacing art, CRT, DEI, BLM, 1619, "social justice" for criminals, the list goes on. It is the domain of the new Democratic Party and the elite party leaders are too afraid to call a spade a spade, because of fear of the lash of political correctness dominated by the wokesters. Yet, these people represent a small minority of citizens in this country.

What is disturbing is that Jews overall will vote lock step with these soon to be goose stepping "Democrats." You'd of thought that history and the Holocaust would have influenced them enough to re-evaluate their options.

1930's first in Germany, then everywhere. And the Jews, frankly, let it happen. They're gonna let it happen again.

The question of who is funding and organizing this stuff is important. I am going to guess it is the same groups who did so for occupy Wall Street, BLM, Climate Activists, Woman’s March, Trans activists, Defund the police etc… Over hyped or manufactured movements who want to tear our lives apart. I would love to hear The Free Press interview one of the leaders. My bet is they wouldn’t do an interview and have to explain with logic and facts their actions.

It's important to note that antisemitism is a problem of the elite, illiberal Left, not of Democrats generally. You don't see many Hamas sit-ins at community colleges, for example, even in deep-blue NYC.

I don't blame Democrats for anything except not paying enough attention. But now, though, even that is no longer an adequate excuse. Democrats, a foreign parasite has attached itself to your inmost parts, like a tapeworm. Some very drastic purging is going to be needed if you want to survive.

The student protesters are usually ignorant of the history of Israel and the Middle East. Those supporting the demonstrations argue that the University provides an environment for debate and discussion. However, the Universities are failing in that dimension. I wrote to Columbia and suggested (probably very naively) that the University sponsor a broadcast Zoom debate between student supporters of both the Palestinian and Israeli sides. It is my only hope that if these students could be exposed to alternative facts, that they might see the world a little differently.

Where is the funding coming from which is driving the rabid antisemitism on U.S. college campuses? Try Arab oil money. Universities are by law required to report these "donations" but hardly ever do, until that Bad, bad, bad Orange Man launched investigations into these monies. Guess who took over and shut down these investigations?

Again, for all the American Jews who still insist on supporting a party that hates you and hating a man that supports you, when are going to wake up?
