I think humanity will face a growing divide between those integrated with the new technology and those who choose (or attempt) to remain separate.
The mind-machine interface, already in early stages, is where this gets really nuts. What happens when we are able to connect a brain directly to the AI network, when AI can put thoughts and images in your head, using the whole Internet as input feed?
Honestly, I think a lot of people would be perfectly happy being plugged in to the Matrix.
Is what you describe the ‘trans humanism’ I keep seeing being referred to in various publications/news? Some ppl think a chip of some sort will be inserted under the skin. 😳😳😳
Elon Musk has promised he will put a chip in his brain when he is satisfied with the tech.
We can already wire paraplegic people to walk again, control computer cursors with thoughts, beam images into peoples' heads, and even generate images of what a person is thinking about.
And that's just what's public. I'm sure there are secret programs more advanced than that.
