I think what's disapointing here is that although it's too easy to be dismissive of Kim Kardashian, and maybe she isn't "as bad" as she presents, this interview doesn't reveal much. She comes across as very fluffy - very LA - "I try to focus on the positive"; it's important to use my fame to 'make a difference'" etc, - it's all so super…

The Alica Johnson case is a good example. The way it's spoken about in the interview is so one-dimensional and "positive", when the reality is much more nuanced. Drugs are a huge economic boon to certain sectors of society, while extremely destructive. (Let's talk about THAT.)
Kim's narrative on who Alice Johnson was and how the system functions was just utterly reductive.
Seems like even shallow people need to do meaningful work - no matter how much modern society hollows out the culture, a human being has a need to go beyond the self. Even Kim Kardashian. That's my take-away.
