I think all these people live in large urban areas and know nothing about the rest of America which is mostly still America where people go about their business working hard to take care of themselves and their family, enjoying friends, making new ones, but suffering for all the evil that is occurring in our cities. God have mercy on us.

Oh for god's sake stop it. There is nothing "evil" about living in urban areas. I live in one and go about my business "working hard to take care of themselves and their family, enjoying friends, making new ones" just like rurals do. We are not evil and rurals are not hicks and hayseeds. We're Americans who choose different levels of access to people and stuff.
He never wrote or implied it is evil to live in urban areas. If you inferred that, that is on you.
However, there is a trend for large population centers to want to make sweeping and nationwide laws/regulations/decisions which really should be local laws and regulations. These laws, while potentially appropriate for high population densities are of little to no value to low population areas.

Very well said. It is the old rural/urban friction.
Of course he did. I didn't infer that, it's as plain as the period at the end of this sentence.
What local laws and regulations do you believe large population centers are trying to inflate into national mandates?
