I took my wife out for a nice dinner at an expensive seafood restaurant at the Seattle waterfront a few months ago and saw their very small print that stated they add a 20% charge to EVERY bill and the charge goes to the "company" to help pay for overhead. In a lot of very lefty areas, the regulatory costs are extravagant, and that is as much a political statement as it is a plea for money.
Name names, we need to know where to avoid during our travels.
Elliots oyster house, pier 56 Seattle. To be fair, it does provide a top tier dinner experience. Too bad they ruin it with the grift.
