If it’s a great product why is the point of the article that the industry is losing money? The great content of 20 years ago is, well, 20 years ago. How many good shows like Sopranos or Breaking Bad have come out recently? Sales with movies.

I do believe that in some cases the writers are bulldozed by execs and such. No doubt. But I also believe that is some cases, they are hiring the wrong writers. Bringing in writers who outright state they don't like the source material (Witcher) or have never really read it or don't care about it (Many Marvel projects) is also the fault of the writers filling those positions.

I think that may be Mr. Long’s point. The reason the Content has been so awful lately is because of how writers are being treated.
It shows the importance of good writers. They are the heart and soul of good content worth watching.

Or, just maybe the writing sucks. I know that I anticipate the reboot of a reboot coming out soon.
Or Frasier. Now that’s comedy.
