If a college would expel any student for a racist comment (no matter how far back in the student's past--which is something that has actually happened), they need to expel any student who makes an antisemitic comment. It is not a question of free speech. It is a question of blatant university biases and the actions that those universities take as a result. A student who thinks Israel is a genocidal, colonial, illegitimate state is literally safer on most college campuses than a student who thinks our southern border should not be open.
