Antisemitism was allowed to fester in the DNC in first place because Pelosi and the powers that be in the DNC pretended it wasn't there or made excuses for it. Trying to glomb onto the new Left as a viable power bloc within the DNC.
I still remember Pelosi beaming on magazine covers with The Squad even after the first antisemitic blowup.

I still remember when Hoyer said that Omar couldn't be held responsible for her antisemitism because not being a native English speaker she didn't understand what she was saying- the fact that she was a university Fellow seems to have been forgotten.
I remember when NY Senator Kirsten Gillibrand wrote a glowing piece on the antisemites of the women's march and when asked to condemn their antisemitism she wouldn't. I wrote an email to her office and all I got back was that she supports Israel. I responded that I was talking about the Jews of the US and not her support for Israel. Of course I never heard back. (Yes she was at the UN when Israel presented evidence of Hamas' sexual violence. )
Remember when the House tried to pass a resolution against antisemitism when Pelosi was speaker, but she decided to "all lives matter" antisemitism. Something she would never have done to any other group.
Yes, better late than never in fighting antisemitism, but it doesn't mean we forget their duplicity. It doesn't mean we forget that if the White house signaled that it was time to embrace the antisemitism of the Illiberal left and turn on Israel, the democratic House leadership would fall in line.
